You are using reset button on lower console?
If that isn’t working you likely have a tpms sensor out in the valve stem in the tire.

If this is the first time you've had this issue in the 6-year history of the truck, it's most likely that at least one of the batteries in the TPMS sensors has died.

If OP has aftermarket tires, this isn't outside the realm of possibility.

OEM PSI can be found along the door jamb. If aftermarket, you'll need to look at their website specifications.

Yes and there is a reset button for it.
If it doesn’t work then the issue is downstream in the sensor.

Ive seen a few posts where pressuring being too high causes the TPMS error light as well.

Typically I believe most run around 35psi.

OEM PSI in the door jamb can go out the window with E load rated tires.

Right. Hence, why I specified the aftermarket's website specifications because OEM is not E load rated.

    Too many, but not enough....
KO2 shouldnt need PSI that high. You should be around 35 for maximum contact and not wearing the middle of the tire.

    Very little so far
Are your tires warm when you filled to 42 psi? Psi should be checked on a cold tire. Mine can see 3+ psi increase from cold after a drive. If you're airing up to 42 on a warm tire, I'm not surprised you're at 40 the next day on a cold tire.

Note: I don't know what the tpms delta is from its set point to when it alerts you of low psi. 2 psi seems a bit low to trigger an alert.

i see as much as 8 psi delta from a cold to hot tire in cali, but my truck sits for at least 4 days a week straight.

I want to say when the pressure drops below 28-30. Can’t remember the exact value.

You could always swing by discount tire or any tire shop and they can quickly scan the sensors and tell you if one is dead and not transmitting, and which one it is. Just a thought.
