Just got a cap for my 2018, so my toolbox has gone away. I have trailers with both 1 & 7/8" hitches and 2" hitches, plus the bigger trailers require a drawbar with less drop. So... since I have two bars, PLUS a recovery shackle hitch for towing whatever is needed out of a ditch...

Anyone got any ideas on how to store the three drawbars where they won't take up a lot of space? I think I saw someone use an ATV hitch adapter bolted to one of those side racks... but those are $12 each and I don't have the side rack, either. I do have the Toyota bed rails, though.

I'm almost to the point of trying to find 2" box stock, cutting off three lengths and making a mount to screw to the sidewall behind my SwingCase tool box - I think that would work, but I haven't figured out how to best keep the hitches fastened to it - using a hitch pin for each would work, but how would I fasten it in? Maybe put it on a hinge to swing out?

I was hoping someone here might have solved this problem already; if so, I'd rather not re-invent the wheel.

What about something like this cargo strapped to the front wall? I have 2 of them. The bins are removable and you can put foam in so that the don't rattle.

I was hoping to figure out a solution where it's mounted close to the tailgate so I don't have to climb up inside to retrieve it.

Although... it's not like I'll need to swap hitches often. The 1 & 7/8th hitch would only be used when I'm towing either the 4x4 utility trailer or the Bunkhouse camper - both of which normally get towed by my Gold Wing trike. But I have a camping trip planned in May where I'll be towing the Bunkhouse and removing the cap to carry two TW200s in the bed.

Might work... but I'm still thinking that using the dead space behind the SwingCase toolbox would be ideal.
