    I really love my 12 Tundra CM but the factory audio system that they put in these trucks are a freaking Joke!!!! I am looking for any advice from anyone on a decent audio system that I can install myself without Breaking the Bank. Thanks Greg

    What is your budget? What are your wants and needs?

    On mine I did a total rebuild. Rewiring doors everything. For mine I have about 2400 alot has do with I use pro speakers in the doors and a class A amp.

    Mine is over board my inputs are only turned up 1/4 on and sub and 1/3 on mids and highs. It will make your ears ring.

    Like I said its on what your budget is.

    My budget is not much at all. I used to have a Tacoma and I replaced the factory setup with MB Quarts everything front and back. I think that is what I am leaning towards because they were very nice

    Replacing the speakers will be just fine. MB quarts good speakers nothing wrong with them. Your ohms should be in check with the factory head unit/amp shouldnt have problems there.

    I will agree the factory units in these trucks are so less desirable. They all put the cheapest thing they can in them anymore that goes for all companies.

    Love MB Quarts. That's what I've used in previous vehicles. I plan on eventually replacing the stock mids & highs w/ MB Quarts and add a JL Audio 8" sub...eventually.

    three choices.

    one: replace the radio that has amp out for sub.

    two: use a line level that converts from speaker power to pre amp level. (dont waste your money on them IMO the amp can do a better job see below)

    Three: Buy a amp that has line level built in and save alot of time and headache. ( alpine does on most , and i believe kenwood does do for sure).

    I have this amp in my set up for my 2, 8 inch subs. http://alpine-usa.com/product/view/mrx-m110/ power house and over kill.
