As mentioned, no wiring needed. The only thing I could have wired was the reverse lights but I didn't bother. If I would have opted for power-folding then I would have needed to wire that up as well since my truck wasn't originally equipped.

Essentially go slowly and take your time. Walk away if you get frustrated. Having a second set of hands to gently pull the pieces apart helps. You just have to find what works for you

 

Which Yota LED's?

 

this is the only pic I got of it. Thinking about running a extension port wire for the mic so I can plug it in under where the heated seat controls are.

 

A couple of folks asked about this so here is more info on the RCA jack I put on the back of my truck for the trailer camera.
The jack is an Amphenol ACJB "D" Flange Panel Mount RCA Jack with a Neutrik SCD-W Sealing Cap - D-Series - IP65. Just search for RCA D flange Jack as many companies sell them with both solder and barrel connectors in the back. The camera is just a regular car backup camera with wiring run to the trailer hitch which connects to the jack. With the 4 way video switch shown I can select between the truck front, truck rear, and trailer cameras to the head unit at any time, controlled by the remote control attached to the left of the HU between the vent and the 4wd switch. The wired camera is probably more reliable, and definitely much cheaper than the wireless trailer backup cameras. FYI - where I mounted the jack is supported only by plastic and there is a wiring harness behind it.

Weighed it. No passengers, no cargo, full fuel. With only 7200 lbs GVRW, there isn’t much room left for passengers, cargo, and accessories.

 

I found after lifting the end tabs and moving to the long section I used and extra nylon pry tool inserted between the surround and grill as I moved down to the next tab as being super helpful, it kept the tabs from reinserting themselves

 

Mine is 6580 with lift, tires (295/70/18), full tank, and tool box pretty full.

 

Mine’s a Platinum trim with bedliner and AMP steps but still, only 960 lbs left.

Which Yota LED's?

 

Decided to put some amber led lights on the step bars. Drilled and mounted, and wired to a switch.
I wished it could've been brighter.



Rock lights on. Amber led lights on.


Finally, the 30" Rigid SAE light bar is hooked up.

Blue switch for Rigid Light bar and Orange for the amber lights on step bar. Wanted a simple setup.

 

How does tire and wheel weight change the payload? I get the extra stress on gearing and axles, but I thought capacity was chassis and suspension…? Is it due to GVWR?

 

Removed Plati badge. Ordered sublimated all black us flags too.

 

I finished up my weld it yourself Rough Country bumper.
