So, I did a thing to load my motorcycle

This isn't specific to Tundras but I know many on here who may be getting on in years may appreciate the ability to load/unload a motorcycle into the bed of their truck without a sphincter-pinching moment. As my wife and I are gearing up for camping now that the kids are out, I was looking for a nice, safe way to load/unload my bike single handedly and came across this:

Ultimate Power Ramp - Motorcycle Loading, Motorcycle Hauling

I've seen other types of power ramps but to be honest they all seemed poorly designed and hard to operate. After working with Mark, the US distributor for these, I have to say that this is the best designed, highest quality piece of equipment I've ever purchased. I have a long bed, so I got the removable extension to get it out past the tailgate. Once the bike is loaded, the extension pops off, the gate goes up, the camper hooks up, the dogs and spouse get in, and off we go. If you're looking for something similar, I can highly recommend this (I have no ties to the company).

For the cost of that I would just a utility trailer that I could also use for all sorts of things as well as carrying a bike. Oh wait, I already did exactly that.

I needed a solution that would safetly put the motorcycle into the bed of the truck so I could hook up and pull my camper behind, and this really fit the bill.....

That's a great idea! I may look into that as it is still a looong way up when loading, even though the bike can't physically go anywhere.

I love how they designed this thing. most manuf would just include an expensive DC motor that has to be hard wired and replaced for huge $$$ when it breaks. These guys just said, "hey, let's just have them use a cordless drill" on the sealed worm drive. I think that was truly inspired thinking - we all have them and they are easily replaced when broken.....

We love to ride, but don't enjoy riding long distances to get to where we want to ride. This'll combine the best of both worlds.
