Catching up from last night...

Lucky enough, I had 6 Saturdays last week, and another 6 Saturdays this week. But then it'll be back at work. Although, by then I'll be nursing a 4 day hangover; so Friday, December 10, I'll be useful to society again.

Went and hunted a park I used to work at today. I didn’t have time to scout, so I hit areas I’ve always seen sign in before and came up empty.
I was on my way out, and something pushed me to check out this one spot, and I found an old tree stand. I knew right away it who’s it was by the way it was hung. When I worked at this park, there was a guy on staff that would never share his spots with anyone, yet he would consistently harvest deer. He passed away 3 years ago before he got the chance to retire. While I didn’t get anything today, just knowing I was in one of his spots made the day worthwhile

Might be worth some kind of marker on the tree to remind you and others he was there. Nice find.

 

From the tail lights, I'd say stock Raptor?

 

I was planning on something like that. I might reopen the shooting lanes there and give another tree in the area a shot next year with my climber

 

I know the likelihood is low, but if y'all or anyone you know needs a stock engine skid, I have one on the free stuff thread. For this crew, the shipping restriction can be a conversation. I mean, apparently except for Canada... It'll be at the dump in a few days if I don't get a bite.

On a related note - I feel like I could use the 3/8" steel Valhalla's Shield engine skid to store my truck hanging from a peg on the wall.
