Jason's 2018 Limited Build

Well i traded my 2014 SR5 4runner in and got my Tundra 09/07/21 and couldn't be happier . It had a Fab Tech 3 inch leveling kit on it and warn 35 inch Toyo's on it at the time and 20 inch Fuel Wheels and a Leer fiberglass cover on it .

I spoke with the previous owner before buying it and he said he had zero issues with the truck and loved it but needed a Diesel for work and if he ever went back to a 1/2 ton it would be a Tundra .

First upgrade i made the Dealership put brand new tires on it 35x12.5 BFG KO2's .. I know not every ones favorite tire but i have had great luck with them on my Jeep and 4runner . had them throw in the new Tires paid Zero , MSRP 1600 ish dollars saved 1600 dollars

Second upgrade I got the JL Audio Stealth TW3 2x10's sub woofers and box made for the Tundra like new for 500 dollars off a guy local that sold his truck. MSRP 1499, i saved 1000 dollars off retail . pulled my 1200/1 sub amp outta the 4runner so saved about 700 there.

Third upgrade I ordered the Pioneer 8600 NEXT 10.1 inch floating screen Stereo for it . I got an open box for 950 on Crutchfield so saved 300 dollars off retail .
I got the Maestro and Toyota Harness and Antenna kit and usb kit for 146 dollars retail around 320 ish saved about 170 dollars .

Also ordered all the sound deading and foam rings for the install .

Forth i ordered The Focal ES KX3's 3 way active speakers off a Major Dealer on Ebay out of Austria with over 3k 100% positive feedback for 1099.99 plus 99 shipping .. MSRP 2299.00
Saved 1100 dollars on the speakers

The Stereo is not installed yet so the picture i am going to show is what it would look like in my Truck..

Next upgrade is going to look for a good deal on a high end 6 or 8 channel Amp with a built in DSP to finish up the build.

Then once all the stereo is installed i will be looking for the following for my build.

Amp XL steps ... these look great anyone use them ?

RCI EVO Sport Camper Top

C4 Fabrication and doing the full plate front bumper .. with 30 inch light bar and maybe 4 Baja Designs LP6 on it and some of their amber lights for the fogs
not sure on the rear bumper as this Bumper DOES NOT support or function with BSM (Blind Spot Monitor) and cross traffic alert system.


I also want to do the TRD black duel Exhaust .
I have bed liner in it already but i think i am going to add the Bedrug it looks really good
I am also looking at adding a Safe in the center console
I have looked into maybe a long safe under the back seat (any one have one and care to share some pictures ? are you happy with it after it was installed ?)
I would like the TRD Pro front grill just for looks but i am kinda concerned about the replacement of the Sensor is it hard to get it lined back up or do i have to take it to the dealer and get it re calibrated ?

I have a CVT Rainer summit 3 person tent for it also once i get the RCI camper top
I have a Warn Zion 12k LB winch on stand by waiting for the bumper
I have the 50QT ARB Fridge on stand by waiting for the Camper top

Any other fun upgrades i should look at ?

well some things changed .. I ended up going with JL Audio C7's 3 way set Active in the front and 2 10 inch JL Subs in the JL Steath Box for audio along with the VXi 8 channel amp for the fronts and kept the rear doors stock used as filler . I also did the AJT black out kit inside and got fender flares ordered some black flat powder coated bolts to replace the stock ones on the fender flares . I installed my TRD Pro front bumper tonight and TSS plate . Got my Bantam sPOD touch screen and system also . got all the windows ceramic tinted the other day .. She's coming along just fine . Ordered my C4 Fabrication overland bumper and Baja Design Sport PRo fog lights and S8 30 inch bar for the bumper also . next up is to buy the LP9 lights for the bumper ...... Looking for a Camper top shell and maybe a roof rack .

 

Ok Huge day for parts for the Truck , I ordered Fox 2.5 front and rear with DSC , and a Decked system for it and a RSI Adventure topper with rails for my CVT tent ... looking at getting a TRD skid plate and maybe a rear bumper
