    Hi there, hello --

    I got myself a 2021 TRD Pro Double Cab in lunar rock from Koons' Tysons Toyota, to whom I sold my kitted out 2020 TRD Off-Road Tacoma. I have prior experience modding and off-roading a 1987 Wrangler Laredo and a 1991 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 4dr. I swapped from the Tacoma to the Tundra after being disappointed again and again and again by the loss of power from the Wrangler's 4.2L I6 and the Cherokee's 4.0L I6 to the Tacoma's asthmatic 3.5L V6. I hated to lose the manual transmission I had in the Tacoma, but that V6's lack of power was killing me.

    I plan to begin modding the truck fairly quickly, though with some better planning than my previous projects. I don't do any "hard core" off-roading; mostly overlanding with some off-roading in the Appalachians. So far, I plan to do the following:
    1. Differential and transfer case breathers (
      $43 Differential Axle Breather Replacement for ARB 170112 Kit Compatible with Drivetrain Assemblies, Differentials, Transmission and Transfer Case of 4×4 4WD Accessories
      Amazon)
    2. Magnetic armor from G.O.A.T.
      - Since they only make it for the CrewMax, I am going to be cutting the rear doors down to fit the Double Cab and use the remaining magnetic armor to cover the bed
    3. RCI Skid Plates in steel
      - I am open to suggestions of other companies! Great experience with these on the Tacoma
    4. RCI Rock Sliders
    5. $304+ General Grabber A/TX Tires
      General Grabber A/TX LT285/65R18 125/122S E
      - Great experience with these tires on the Cherokee and Tacoma
    6. Cold air snorkel intake (eBay)
    7. Steel front bumper from either ARB or Fab Fours
      - Great experience with ARB's Summit bumper on the Tacoma
    8. Bed storage boxes for equipment
    Really excited to take the new rig off road soon and to start the process (again!) of rigging out a new expeditionary vehicle - and sharing my experiences!
