Thank you for the aluminum plate weight specs.

Any update on my powdercoated Z-brackets?

So, I have been getting this question recently about replacing the TRD pro rear bolts with pentagon bolts. On the left is a stripped out bolt that comes with the PRO plate, on the right is a 3/8 pentagon bolt. Same length and same shaft size. If y’all want, I can make it an option on the website for these

No, the front bolts in that one are 1/2” but the 3/8” will fit

An option for upgraded pentagon security bolt hardware for those with TRD Pro front skids on the website makes sense. I am interested in receiving some with my order.

    PM sent.

Got new cat's, now need to figure out how to protect them better until I get shields. I'm thinking of an alarm if a plate is removed, and maybe one that detects motion under the truck. I want a pager type so I can get pics and greet the thieves with a baseball bat or 12 gauge. Next up will be to order your shields.
I'm a poor single dad, need to budget and wonder if the metal shields is the way to go or alu. And do I need to paint or coat the aluminum ones or will they be fine bare or with a coat of crylon?

Pro plate issue is easy to fix. I made a bar with 2 nuts tacked to it and secured to the frame above the skid. No need to get a wrench in there any more. This should be included with the skids for those without the means to weld one up. You have to be able to drop these regularly for transfer case and shaft lubes etc.

Sorry I didn’t get pics. It’s just a piece of cold rolled 2 x .25 in stock about 14 in long with 2 holes the same distance apart as the holes in the pro skid. Tack 2 nylock nuts to it and secure on top of the cross member with zip ties etc. It just hold the nuts in place and eliminates the need for a backup wrench.

My neighbor’s older Chevy S10 had his stolen 2 months after mine were stolen. His was parked next to where mine is usually parked at our apartment complex. I was out of town at the time, though. I suspect it was the same thieves that hit mine two months before looking to steal them from my Tundra again.

I guess they figured since my Tundra wasn’t there, they weren’t going to go empty handed and took the opportunity to steal his. His little S10 isn’t lifted. So I’m guessing they had to jack it up a bit to get underneath.

One of the shops I spoke to said they replaced the cats that were stolen on an F250 and a Jeep, but the ones stolen the most are from Priuses and Tundras. Not sure why Toyota thought it was a good idea to put 4 cats on our trucks, but it is what it is.

I read somewhere that the 2 rear cats on our Tundras are not needed or doesn't contain alot of the high dollar metals that the fronts have. Not sure its true, but read you can do without the 2 rears.

That's right in my neck of woods, I am Barker Cypress and 290, which is also 15 mins from Tyler.
It's getting bad, and all my friends that jumped or have jumped on Tundras have been very unlucky on getting a cover.
One went with dealer's "Save a Cat" cat cover (touchy) but I suspect that it will not last long.
He's a fast food establishment higher management and has to drive around town a lot. Not all of those places are nice.

Ever since I got Tyler's plate on, I can drive to around with a much safer piece of mind, but still watching all corners and behind my backs....

I need someone with a TRD PRO plate to measure center to center for the bolts at the back of the plate, I want to make sure I am not off on drilling this nut plate out. I will be adding this as an option for y’all.

An overly obvious note, the old bolts and the stop rings will need to be removed
