    Hey all,

Any recommendations on a fuel tank skid that is bolt on for a 21 model? I saw a thread where a guy with a 20 or 21 had to weld on a bracket that no longer existed on new gen 2.5's but existed on older ones.

    Thanks!

    Alot of them
Check with RCI. They have skids for the 14-21's. I'm not sure about the bracket but they will be able to tell you. If you don't have a factory skid, you will need the tank straps as well. They have those too. https://rcimetalworks.com/https:/rcimetalworks.com/07-19-tundra-fuel-tank-skid-plate/

    Too many, but not enough....
Do you have the 26 or 38 gallon tank?

I have a 21 with the 26 gallon tank. I got the RCI skid and its nice, but the long support bracket near the driveline did not have a support/chassis bracket to connect to, something changed in the 21. I used a strip of aluminum to rig up a bracket, its solid as a rock now.

38 gallon, it was either RCI or victory that didn't fit the 21 and had to modify the truck.

Not familiar with the 38 gallon but given the 2 and the similar price, i would go with the RCI, just for the reason that Victory just seems to have many issues as a company.
