Wasn’t there a thread recently where someone mentioned a petition to stop Toyota dealerships from selling the 2022 Tundras over MSRP? Similar to what Chevrolet did with the Corvettes?

*don’t attack me, i just want to read the thread*

So you want dealerships who are private businesses that basically have no inventory and are only surviving by their added mark up… to not mark up the tundra so you can get a better deal? Ok.

Good luck with that. If I were a salesman at a Toyota dealer and someone showed me a petition to try and get a lower price, I’d probably laugh them out the door.

Not how a free market economy works. You could try convincing people not to BUY above MSRP, but as long as buyers are willing to pay what’s asked, it’ll happen. That’s what’s driving inflation right now— more than any actual increased costs.

Don't buy the truck. This is simple economics. Consumer demand will drive pricing. If enough people pass on the ridiculous pricing then supply will out weigh demand and prices will come down.

We should have a petition to ban idiot people from wasting their money on mark ups

Petitions are so 1950's. Today you have to be outraged and get media buy in. Start out with social media attacks, as more join the outrage mainstream media will pick up on it. Being under attack from these 2 angles will ensure that your enemy either caves to your demands or is permanently destroyed.

I don’t give a shit about the dealerships. I just believe in a free economy. You don’t?
