    The Dirty T ( ^_^)_且
    Today I discovered the new most annoying sound in the world. I was in the office on a video meeting. I, like most of my co-workers have a personal cell phone and a State issued cell phone. Half way though the meeting, an Amber Alert went off, so it was:

    2 cell phones per person x the # of people in the office x the # of people working from home attending the meeting x the # of laptop mics picking up the alert x the laptop speakers repeating the alert = the worst fucking sound ever.

    One of the things I’ve learned from this crue is that I’m not nearly as clever as I used to be

    I can feel that. I sit at my home office now, but a couple of cubes ago one of the building's fire alarms was directly above my cube. Our fire drills were no-warning. I have tinnitis.

    We had something similar a couple weeks ago. About 50 people in our office had thr alert sounding off. Then it did it again on everyone's about 5 minutes later. I heard someone launch their phone across their desk. Like damn...sorry a missing person is so upsetting ha

    I feel this. I think I may have done one or two sheet metal cuts too many without ear protection when I was younger and dumber. Kids screaming seems to set it off the worst… but it’s also possible I just don’t like other people’s kids…

    @Hightide this isn’t from last night, but today;

    perseverance prevails- don’t take no for an answer, don’t ever stop.
    Today I was faced with defeat twice, but I said “not today Tuesday!”
    First, I went to try and get my boots that are barely 9 months old, warrantied due to the toe cap coming off. The first store; the manager barely even looked over the counter to look at the damaged goods on my feet. Her first defense was; are you conditioning them? I said no. She replied, oh you need to be conditioning them EVERYDAY. I replied, EVERYDAY?!
    Ok well maybe not everyday, but that is normal wear and tare right thare. I asked what conditioning the leather has to do with the stitching coming out of the toe?
    Well I can’t warranty those, but I can give you a 15% off that needs to be used by the end of the month. Ok bye!
    Went to the other store across town, and was met with similar questions, which I replied the same(haha clearly I haven’t conditioned them, so I couldn’t lie about that) but the lady finally caved and said we will replace them this one time, but you really need to take better care of them. So I bought conditioner and waterproofer while I was there.

    Secondly, I was trying to repipe a 3 comp sink but I got the wrong adapters for the basket strainers, went to Ace hardware; of course they didn’t have what I needed. Tried to call as I was driving to the actual plumbing supply house, no answer as I pulled in, they didn’t have them but their other 4 stores did across town(that close in 5 minutes)
    I couldn’t give up, and I remembered a supply house that I rarely use but super close. I’m not a plumber, so
    I’m terrible with the technical names, so I called and asked if they had one of them chingasos? He said no, and I said damn really? “Well let me go check”
    “Swivel tray adapters is what they’re called and we do have some”
    Hell yeah, I’ll be there in five!

    Don’t stop, won’t stop!
