After replacing all four O2 sensors plus fuel sensor(2), does the vehicle have to be test driven?
Or is this an electronic diagnostic systems read?

I would think so to check for errors. Not sure if it requires a run time at idle or minimal rev limit sequence. I know when I've replacement a cat converter it had a procedure

If you have codes, you'll need to clear them, then you'll need to complete a drive cycle. Here is a recommended drive cycle I found:
    • Start the engine. Idle the engine in drive for two and a half minutes with the A/C and rear defroster on.
    • Turn the A/C and rear defrost off, and accelerate to 55 mph at half throttle.
    • Hold at a steady speed of 55 mph for three minutes.
    • Decelerate (coast down) to 20 mph without braking.
    • Accelerate back to 55 to 60 mph at ¾ throttle.
    • Hold at a steady speed of 55 to 60 mph for five minutes.
    • Decelerate (coast down) to a stop without braking.

Old thread, I know. I'm driving a 2008 Sequoia with 170k. I just replaced all 4 O2 sensors, cleared the codes, and drove for about an hour. Shut the Sequoia down for a couple of hours, then when I started it back up the Check Engine light came back on. I've not pulled the code yet but I wonder if I'm missing this Drive Cycle? I'd never heard of this.

If you haven't completed the drive cycle, that is not a reason for codes to come up.

If you haven't completed the drive cycle, this is mostly an issue for emissions testing where they will look for readiness in these systems indicating that they are working properly.
