Per title, I'm shooting for the 10k mile oil change. My last change received 10k royal purple extended and a 10k filter. Based on my milage I average 9k miles/6 months. So I should only have to change my oil twice a year??? I'm skeptical at best, even with what I've read on here and in the manual. But I'll keep monitoring the oil and change when I'm no longer comfortable with it.

    I'm halfway through 95k miles.

Here's the current condition and usage. No additives or top offs. Oil smells a bit gassy, but no burning or coolant:

Toyota says 10k on regular gas, 5k on FF. I have the regular gas, always change at 5k because it is not expensive and I dont feel comforting with leaving the filter in there that long.

You can always have the oil tested and see how it is holding up at whatever mileage you choose to change it at https://www.blackstone-labs.com/
