I was putting a storage box in under rear seat in 2021 crew max.You cut carpet and foam to install. Apparently the wiring isn't in same place as 2020.Broke wire off connector flush with connector. Anyone know how to take connector apart.whats this sensor for.Truck starts and runs.Cant solder wire back with connector assembled.Broke off even with connector. My luck. Thanks for any information

I recall it being for the smart key or remote start off the top of my head.

Easy now! I was going to tell you that just became the sensor that detects an inexperienced wanna be underseat storage box installer. However, that would have made me an elohssa. Lighten up dude, life is short!

Aint it great when you ask for help and some douche rocket slams you?? It’s the connector for the smart sense. I was terrified of this happening so I literally whittled away at the foam when I got close. Took an extra 20 minutes but I didn’t want to end up in your position. Glad you found a solution.

Its for the Smart Key according to the instructions issued by the manufacturer:

"ALL 2014-2021 Crewmax For 2020-21 with Smart Key, care must be taken when cutting out foam in center compartment due to wiring harness under foam."

The damage looks repairable but its hard to tell what method you would need to depin the connector to reattach/recrimp the wiring, you may find the right method in this vid and you will likely need some special tools:

As far as the housing goes I don't think its worth replacing it as long as you take care to protect the module
