Oh so that confirms the injectors would be a factor. I figure the base ECU wouldn't know it has high flow injectors.

my MPG dash meter didn't freak out till I did the injectors. i guess it's an ECU thing?

Probably more pronounced with the bigger flow injectors, but I see it on my unwashed heathen Stage 1. The calculations are off. I'm guessing the way the ECU calculates MPGs it expects lower max flow rate.

I can’t imagine how that would be. Very odd. You sure it wasn’t the emissions system doing its thing? I had noticed my wife’s 19 Rav4 makes noises 5 hours after parking it and I read it was emissions system equipment. I don’t doubt you though. The intercooler pump is surprisingly loud.

it was the pump - I barley cracked the reservoir cap open and it splashed.

this morning - no problem. I may have double tapped the start button when I turned the truck off?

or maybe it was just mad at me for ...well....nevermind.

I'm finally getting the chance to explore the gas pedal.

the 1-2 shift now behaves well.

    I'll explain:

before I try this.....can 4HI handle this power?

because I don't have the skill to do a hard 0-60 without breaking the damn tires loose.

I've waited 50yrs to type that last line.

I'll expound on this - as I'm clearly doing nothing but posting crap this morning!

I would do Stage 1 tune. it appeared to have everything i wanted - I never got to drive it.
the tune fixes all the nanny crap that hinders the truck.
and brings the TQ back onto the power band

It's a perfect balance of safety & performance.

Stage 2 adds a ridiculous amount of TQ to the equation. I didn't need it. I wanted it. now that I have it - I rarely- if ever - use it.

(kinda like a Staccato XC, but I digress.)

I don't know how TRX's (700hp!) stay on the road.

Stock tundra block presumably can handle 1000+. Usually the block isn't the issue, it's everything inside of it. I also take what I read with a grain of salt, just because stock internals did a 1000hp dyno pull doesn't mean it'll last at 1000hp, and drag racing which is where it seems most common to blow an engine is a lot harder and longer than a quick blip to max horsepower.

And I was going to add, just keep the steering wheel straight. It's pretty cool to feel the front suspension unload a bit.

There is a series of videos on YouTube of a blue TRD supercharged tundra running 13.0-13.1 1/4 miles at 100+mph and he launches it every time in 4x4. He smoked all kinds of fast cars like supercharged mustangs, camaro, corvette and some tuned up diesels. He must have 50+ 4x4 launches racing the 1/4 mile. I’d say the drivetrain must be stout!

I'm not aware of Viktor having any supplemental modifications to the front portion of his drivetrain.

Their hp claim is pretty high, but the torque is in the mid 500s, also they tend to dyno in low 500s in 2wd, which according to your latest dyno you are not that far off with almost 500whp, I've seen a crewcab 5.0 running high 12s, but I recall that thing wasn't just on the supercharge kit.

Welp, a little hiccup today. Apparently ARH weld the incorrect flange size (too small, see pic) on the passenger side. Driver's side flange perfectly matches exhaust side flange. These are two piece headers though, the main headers + the lower piece where the high-flow cats are attached. Not sure what ARH will do at this point, but at least we won't have to uninstall the entire header, can just remove and swap the lower piece.

    1st fillup half tank

    17.99. Mpg!

mostly to work. So my avg stayed the same

I had to adjust the scanguage after the fillup. It was off. Now we will if it tracks correctly

got a 3 hour road trip today.

I wonder why it did so good?

Nice I forgot about being able to recalibrate the scan gauge for your fuel usage. At least I can still use that then to track my fuel usage, mpg, range etc since the one on the truck will be deemed basically useless with the injector swap.

Looks like the blower leaches very little HP from the engine, coupled with the bypass its a great design.

I'm about 60/40 Hwy/City split and usually hover around 14.5 MPG on the stock LTX tires hauling around 500lbs of gear. Lately I've been around 13.9 MPG with all the heavy stop and go traffic. We'll see what going Stage 2 and more importantly getting tuned does for me.

Well guys, I got my email from Ryan @ Harrop on Tuesday and mine is due to land at his place this week or next, and said I should have it by the 19th! Said it’s already cleared customs and he doesn’t anticipate any delays…man I’m pumped!
