Hey guys, I have an issue with my TPMS. So just got wheels, tires, tpms sensors from custom offset and I'm unable to program the sensors. I'm using an Autel MaxiTPMS tool and was not able to scan the sensors for id codes under 2020 but if I select 17-19 Tundra it'll be able to scan. So I used the ID codes from that to complete the registration id process with no success. Does anybody know if the 2020 uses their own specific sensors that's not compatible with the later years? Thanks ahead!

2020+ has different sensors and will not work. They gave you sensors for 2019 and older.

there are several threads on here about this. Let me see if I can find some of these. However, I can tell you this is very common and happens quite a bit on the newer tundras. It seems like all shops and tire stores just use whatever sensor and it will not work. There are two different part numbers compared to the old ones for the older trucks.

Yep...you need the OEM sensors for the 2020. I went through this. You need OEM part # 42607-0C091

As mentioned. 2020 sensors are year specific and aftermarket typically don’t work. I suggest you swap in your oem sensors.

Thank you. Wanted to save the hassle and paid extra 175 to have sensors installed.

So would this guy work for a '21 WITH Smart Entry? Not sure why it would matter, but it lists it!

Trying to get sensors into my new wheels... And Toyota quoted north of $900 LOL. I'll go to some great lengths (aka leave the light on forever) before I offer up that.

I'm not sure why the smart entry would have anything to do with it either. I would call Sparks Toyota at 854-600-4869 and ask for Tim or Micah. They helped me with the right part number for mine. Have your VIN handy...they may ask for it to verify the part numbers in the system.
