    Hi,

    For 2 situations, long miles on gravel roads, and 2: slow crawling on sharp rocks, what would yall recommend for tire pressure on a 35x12.50r18, on a double cab with 700lbs (with people included)payload? I have trail series methods with bead grip.

    Eibach Pro Truck Stage 2 suspension, HD RAS, 285/75-18 Nokian Outpost AT, LoPro bed cover, TRD rear sway bar, DD 10 inch exhaust, and various other goodies
    typical off road air pressure is around 18 to 22lbs. That will soften the ride but still have enough pressure so the tire will keep the bead. Of course drive slower with lower pressure.

    Personally I don't air down unless I'm going to 15psi or lower. Unless the gravel road is really bad and really long I wouldn't air down at all, but if I did then do 15psi. For rock crawling stuff depends, for a full size truck probably start at 15 too. For sand I'd start at 10psi. Just don't take corners fast or turn your wheel if the sidewall is stuck against a rock/sand/snow and you shouldn't blow a bead. Only time I've had issues without beadlocks was running single digit pressures and had the steering wheel fully cranked and was plowing through snow--and with bead grips you should be fine even then.

    Speed will your determining factor here. If the gravel roads are still normal speeds (20 MPH or more) I would not air down. For sharp rocks where you will be crawling below 15 MPH I drop down to about 20 PSI. If the speeds are going to break 20 MPH I don't like to be low on pressure.

    I usually run 20-22 psi for high speed and 18 for rock crawling. I can go a lot lower because I'm running bead locks but I hate pinch flats.

    I drop to 22-25 for high speed dirt/gravel and 18-20 for slow speed sharp stuff.

    High speed at full pressure will increase the chances of chunking tread IME.

    Depends on your suspension as well. If you find that your shocks are very hot to the touch, then you’d need to slow down and when you slow down you’ll feel the rocks/bumps more, which leads to airing down for comfort.
