What have you done to your 1st gen Tundra today?

Have you heard if there are issues with power seats compatability?

 

When I looked into it a year or so ago I only found stuff for manual seats. Plus ours has a piece that goes through the floorboard that I'm not seeing on theirs. Could be wrong though.

 

Are those PHM approved?

Thanks for reaching out and for your interest in our products. The Tundra Seat Jackers do work on both manual and power seats. To my knowledge we haven't received any feedback regarding issues with the frame.
There is a pin on the seat rail frame I believe but our Seat Jackers have a notch for that pin to slide into so I wouldn't be concerned with any issues.
Feel free to share this with whoever you heard there might be issues from as well. I hope that helps and if you have any other questions please let me know. Have a great day!

That pin and bracket are the same for power vs manual. Can’t see why they wouldn’t work.

Interesting story. I still have rear seat spacers from Richard the machinist metal guy who makes shift knobs among other things. They are fine pieces. I tried them on my seat and liked it best without. I tried them on the passenger seat and my wife actually noticed and complained so I took them out. Tony said his wife greatly appreciated them. So shrug on that stuff right? My boys feet don’t touch the mat yet so they don’t get a vote.

I guess I’m just stuck in “medium sized world”.

 

I'll give this a shot maybe. I haven't heard of this company, the thing I saw was more of a home brew thing on IG using a similar design.

Got new HVAC knobs in the mail today. Now I can change the temp without the knob falling off. $10 well spent. These

Started on the undercarriage but ran out of time. Probably finish next Sun or Mon so I can give @Lil Steve a run for his money for cleanest undercarriage. Lol!

 

Got these Solid Off Road mounts in. Fit perfectly and feel great, just have to get use to these minor vibrations.

 

I’m lost — what am I looking at here? I like the red. Looks stout.

 

I'm planning for these in the future. I actually like solid mounts better than rubber and the "big trucky" feel that go with them.

Cool. Got it.

Measured the height again post lift (I'm about ~ 1 month in post-install) and the front is still sitting about 1/2" higher than the rear, so I think I'm going to go ahead and order the HD springs from ATS.

Should restore about 1.5" of height I am hoping have a nice 1" rake towards the front once I get them installed. I'm going to give them a call tomorrow to verify the length of the U-bolts I need, but I believe it should be a 8"?

 

Not sure, mine were oversized from a diff company, to be cut down. ATS should dial you in. On mine re torque at 100 and 500 mi.

 

You will definitely get that much out of the ATS H-D springs. They'll know which u-bolts you need and probably have them. They do not come with the springs. Their customer service is top-notch.

 

Almost forgot. New sticker (State 48 Overland). If you're reading this, sorry guys, windows haven't been clean enough to apply it since I picked it up from you. Haha!

 

My mistake. The point I was trying to make is that increasing caster will typically give more clearance at the rear of the tire, and thinking to push the tire forward, but you are absolutely correct, increasing caster, rotates the top of axis back. Good catch. Thank you for the correction. I’ll edit my post.

Picked up a 2006 Double Cab with 83k miles on it. Semi "local" and drove 4 hours to pick it up. Yes, I paid way too much for it but let me tell you the thing is CLEAN inside and out which makes me a feel a little better about it. It's a 3 owner vehicle and in the last decade it's seen maybe 30k miles so not used much at all. Apparently all 3 owners took good care of the vehicle which is very much appreciated. The paint is clean, no big scratches or dings, no hood or roof fading. The interior is clean, cloth and carpet without stains, knobs and switches are nice and tight for a 15 year old truck. About the only complaint I have is the driver door handle is a little loose which I'll tighten up and the axle has some surface rust which will need to be treated. The frame, however, is very clean and pretty much rust free. Vehicle spent time in the Tahoe area so I'm assuming they use some road salt there for the winters.

This is not my DD so miles will stay relatively low. I picked up this vehicle as our primary camping and outdoor rec vehicle. Mainly for camping, fishing, ski touring and chasing powder. @travels.by.truck on IG is the inspo for this build. Over the next year it's going to get a flatbed tray along with a pop-up or hard shell camper. In the short term I'll make sure the thing gets baselined, address any FGT issues, and get the timing belt done. Also will need to get an Android Auto or Apple Car Play headunit and perhaps some katzkin leather and seat heaters. Build thread to come shortly but just wanted to introduce the rig!!!

 

Clean! And color matched mirrors and grill. The door handle tightening is easy. Apple CarPlay is a super nice upgrade, and pretty easy. Welcome! Really nice truck.
