2016 Tundra Crewmax. When I park in a slight decline and put in Park. Once my truck sets for awhile, when I start up again and go from Park to Drive I hear a high pitched "tinny" clink coming for the tranny. When the window is open in is louder so it is I believe it is a linkage noise, externally. If I use the parking break before I put it in park I do not hear the clink on restart. It only happens parking on a decline, not on an incline or level ground. This just started to happen in the last few months. I was going to take it to a Transmission Shop but do not know a reliable and honest on in my area. I am handicapped and can not craw under the truck easily. Can anyone offer the name of a reliable shop in NW Houston. There are several on Jones Rd. but I an concerned I will be taken advantage of for diagnosing this issue. Does anyone know how to check this out and how difficult it is to view the linkage myself? Advice anyone?

Sounds like just pressure on the park pawl. On incline or decline alway set parking brake when your foot is still on brake pedal and then shift to park.

I'll take it a step further.
Yes this is normal. i was once told and have a buddy that always does this.
Put the parking brake on while brake is on in drive. Shift to neutral. allow truck to settle on parking brake. Then shift to park.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks for the advice, I was in fear of braking something major.
