The geniuses at ironman 4x4 thought it was good business practice to sell a product (rock sliders) with no instructions (as in, figure it out yourself but we promise we'll a YouTube video on it one day), and sell something that needs cutting and grinding and drilling as something that doesn't need cutting or grinding or drilling and is "bolt on" . It is far from it. Be warned. Might as well buy a pair that also requires drilling your frame but isn't dishonest about it. Not Ironman.

And customer service won't do anything about it. I wish I had never given them my money, I would recommend that you don't. They'll email you a few times "tech is looking at it, cheers" and that is all they will do for you so buyer beware. Spent 1600 with them and they give zero f*cks about trying to make it right.

    Disregard on frame rivets!

Ironman made it right after some nasty reviews and a few weeks.

I wouldn't touch those. They are rivets holding your frame together.

Return the sliders there are a dozen other options that are much easier to work with.

It would cost 200 bucks or more to ship these back unfortunately

Don't cut into those. They should be 100% bolt-on. Unless they sent you the wrong ones. Do you have a picture of the sliders? There are no holes to accommodate those?

That's how they seemed to bolt up but I'll flip it around and try the other one.

Looks like they should bolt right on, have you tried it on both sides? And they still don't line-up?

Those rivets go in the circled holes. You're bolts will go where the arrows are.

Different brand, but just as @AzureNightmare said above. See the rivets sit in those large holes.

    Got them held in place.

Turns out you have to drill into the frame at 6 spots. In spite of what the description says. Assholes. Screenshot_20211108-092650_Firefox~2.jpg

And one of the ones that would have lined up, without drilling, does not.

Don't buy sliders from ironman. They don't answer the phone, either.

I think, and I may be wrong, that where the frame holes are has changed mildly on the 2020+ trucks. My brain is sleep deprived goo, so I might be remembering incorrectly, but I could swear somebody had similar issues with another manufacturer's sliders because they had built them off the older trucks and the holes were slightly different.

My cali raised sliders fit on my 21 with no issues. When i ordered from cali, their website did not specify year of truck, only the gen.

Not only do you have to drill, the contour isn't even right so I have to grind the sliders if I even want to drill.

It could also be that you do not have to use all the holes in the slider. I know some have optional drillable holes for super heavy duty use, but they are not required.

Screenshot_20211108-094635_Firefox.jpg only states 2014+ here. They screwed this up. 2 days before my trip with no time to fuck around with it because they were "bolt on"

Agreed, with above. Not ever hole needs a bolt. Count how many bolts came with the sliders, and see if the amount of bolts you have matches up with the amount of holes that can accept a nut and bolt on both sides.

There are no holes on the bottom, so any upwards pressure on the sliders would try to peel away from the frame and shear the bolts unfortunately. No holes on the bottom work.

Most holes and bolts match up. Bolting to the frame from the sides sides zero holes on the bottom in the frame (4 were supposed to bolt to the bottom of the frame).

stupid question but did you see an install video on these on the site? They usually have good install vids on suspension at least.

No install video, no instructions. They told me to figure it out for myself and in the future they would release a YouTube video for it.

Can you take some more photos of them on the truck?

I do agree that my 2021 only has 1 hole (passenger side) toward the rear - in the bottom of the frame.

However, any sliders (other brands) all are 2014+

The low price, lack of pics, and no instructions makes me suspect if these would hold up as a slider in the first place. You cannot tell how they attach or how many supports they have on the website. Also, you cannot see how the supports attach to the plate you are mounting to your frame in any pictures. I'm not sure I would trust these to protect from anything.

Seems like it may be a bit of sleazy marketing. They "bolt on" just fine, but won't actually function as a slider without drilling.
