About a year ago I started having an issue with my drivers window. I would press the auto down, the window would go most of the way down, and then stop a few inches from fully being down. This issue was intermittent at first, but then became an issue every time(I have to roll my window down every day for an ID check at work). This issue was happening when using auto down or holding the butten down manually. I was able to push the down button after it stopped and it would go the rest of the way down.

After a week I was able to get to the dealership and they said that the window track was excessively dirty. They cleaned it and I was good to go until yesterday. The same thing is happening again. The most off-roading I do is gravel roads and muddy parking lots when hunting 2 weeks out of the year.

I have an appointment in 2 weeks and am interested in what they say this time. The window seals seem to be in good shape so I cant figure out where all of this "excessive dirt" is coming from.

On another note, my wife's 2014 sienna had to have the drivers window motor and regulator replaced under warranty 3 years ago. I hope this isnt a common issue with motors and regulators.

Probably need to be recalibrated. Very easy to do.

That’s so crazy. The same exact thing has just started to happen to me this week. The past 3 or 4 months I’ve notice that it’s been going slower, but it never stopped. This past week it stopped for the first time while going down. I attributed it to being cold for the first time, but I think it’s likely a motor. Haven’t had time to call the shop yet. Let me know if they find out anything for your issue!

My 2018 does this once every few weeks, but I never remember to look into it. I'll hit auto down and it will stop a few inches from being all the way down.
