1st gen 1 piece headlight assemblies

Are there no one piece conversion headlights? (Blinker and headlight aren't 2 different assemblies)

I've been looking around and I can really find any good looking aftermarket headlights for my 2005 Tundra.

Does anyone know of any good ones?

 

Aftermarket support for the lowest volume selling full size truck of it's time isn't great. There are very few headlight / taillight options. Best headlights I've seen are the @SouthPaw projector conversions.

 

I'm not sure on the DC, but the ACs, even the later ones, have a bolt under the turn signal that holds the headlight in. That would require quite the fancy design to allow that to be bolted down correctly if single pieced. Either way, with the two piece, you can do some different combos yourself. I went all clear with retrofits and I think it looks good.

 

Where did you get your retrofits?

 

I made them myself. Wasn't really hard, took a half day on the weekend as a first timer.

 

They really aren't that bad unless you start doing stuff like painting things and halos.

What parts did you go with? Looks very similar to my first retrofits where I used an h1 2.5" projector and it was basically bolt it on and level it after getting the headlight apart. I honestly don't know why I wouldn't do h1s on every vehicle I own that gets driven a decent amount if it didn't come with projectors already. Super easy and they perform so much better than reflector lights. That is unless it's on something like my XJ and the 5x7 lights are a real pain to retrofit unless you have the space behind the light assembly, but that's another story.

 

Yeah, I went with the Acme H1 kit from TRS and new aftermarket headlights as I already reconditioned my stockers and they faded again. Wanted nice clear lenses. The process was pretty straight forward after watching a few YT videos and the only thing that is different is the DRLs aren't on with the lights off. They turn on with the lights now, which I'm actually totally fine with. I was hoping the canbus resistor would fix that like it did the brights indicator, but it did not.
