So, I have read a lot of the information about the Bilstein 5100 setting options - low, middle, high - and am seeing differing opinions. I measured my truck today with 265/70r18 tires and need to make a decision. From ground to bottom of fender on rear is 39.485" (averaged left and right). Front is at 36.625". Difference here is 2.86". I would like this to "look" level, not necessarily be level. The Bilstein 5100 is supposed to raise the front 0.87", 1.57", or 2.28". So, it seems that I should go with the top setting. Most people seem to recommend the middle setting. I have a Ranch Hand brush guard on the front of the truck that weighs ~140 pounds. My new tires will be 285/70r17.

Can someone convince me the best path forward? If high setting is recommended, which is the way I am currently leaning, do I need to get a differential drop kit? Should I look into choosing some different springs, from OME perhaps, rather than using the stock springs? Thanks for your advice.

Top setting for that heavy weight up front, Ranch hand will probably drop the front end about an inch. So that would put you basically at the middle setting for height on a stock truck. No diff drop needed for 1-2.75 inch lift up front, no need for springs if running the 5100s.

If you want full replacement coilovers, look at 6112s, Eibach pro truck, dobinsons, and there are other brands but those are good products for a decent price.
