Hello, new guy here. I recently bought my first tundra after years of tacoma ownership. Ive decided to buy some new wheels and tires, which leads me to my question. Ive lurked here for a while and I have yet to see anyone running a 17" wheel with +35 offset on a 2.5 gen. Why is that? Im asking because Id like to purchase a set of methods with that offset because the +25 seems to stick out a smidge too much for my liking. Any info would be appreciated.

For me I just bought a set of +30 18's and the reason is because I need more clearance to not have the tire hitting the SPC UCA's I installed. Not a huge help because I also added an inch of rim width, but it will be just enough for my clearance needs. Your next hurdle may be the same as mine and that is lug bolt thread engagement. Check blackhawk Japan for a m14x1.5x55mm replacement lug bolt that will solve that problem and give you enough threads for good engagement.

+35 offset is more rare is all as most aftermarket wheels are often in the +18 to +25 range. +35 is fine and yes will tuck up under the truck better.

Official welcome, Like fricho228 said, common are set to +18-+25, it does stick out a smidge, my +25 Visions wheels with 295/70/18s, but looks proportional to lifted tundie!! Imho... Good luck.IMG_20210307_161758.jpg

You could go with the classic Rock Warrior wheels and use 1" Bora spacers - that would put you right around +35mm offset (I think, as my understanding is the RW wheels are +60mm like the other Toyota OEM wheels). I don't have a lot to offer on 17" wheels, though. But you are right, most aftermarket seem to be +25 or less.

Something to think about, if you ever want big brake calipers in the future, 17's may not be the best choice.

BTW, do the +25 end up shooting rocks and things on the side of you trucks? I regularly drive in wooded/farming type land to hunt and would like to save some paint for a while.

I found some really nice low profile flares from Amazon. Search the build with cement thread, you can see them there. Don't have mine installed yet, but they seem like a good solution IMO.

What size tire are you looking at? That will make a big difference.

Probably a 285/70/17. Nothing huge as the truck is just leveled. It currently sits on the stock TSS wheels and tires.

I believe the forged RW wheels are +50mm offset and 17"x8.5. Whereas the current "TRD" wheels are 18"x8 with a +60mm offset.
And tread pattern. My 275/70r18 BFG KO2's were like a drumroll depending on the type of road you're driving on. My current MT Baja Boss 295/70r18 have a slightly wider lug pattern and throw less rocks on the same roads. YMMV OP
