lol well, I got a deal on the icons and ended up making some money on them. Thought I’d be happy with something simpler (old man emu) and, well.. I wasnt. Did a 7k mile road trip this fall out west and while old man emu is great for what it is, you get what you pay for. After pushing the truck to its limits and realizing life is short, I pulled the trigger on these since Accutune had some in stock at the time. This run around isn’t normal for me but I can say this kit is here to stay.

Killer! Question- do your swing cases bounce and make a bunch of noise on the trail? Mine do, trying to eliminate it.

Finally finished out my chrome delete. It's just HyperDip, but I like it. If it gets too bad, I think I will have it painted black.

I added some boost auto tow mirrors today. While not as aesthetically pleasing as oem color matched mirrors, function over form prevailed. It’ll be really nice while towing.

I also didn't bother wiring in the reverse lights. I didn't pay for the upgraded ones so I didn't see the point in routing wiring into the cab and tapping into the reverse circuit. I'll add upgraded lights to the truck or trailer itself if necessary.

Not at all. I have them full of gear. The right one is full of recovery gear (all soft) so that may help. The left one is full of hand tools, but they are in bags, etc. I had them in my Taco before which had the Decked system and keeping gear in bags was a must to cut down on noise. Other than that, they fit very tight and don't bounce around at all.

    Nice job.
I did something very similar but I added several coats of Rust-oleum Matte Clear Enamel over the Dip to strengthen/toughen it. Hopefully it will withstand the road debris a little longer.

    Time will tell.

Used Dip on several previous vehicles and it held up Perfectly for 7 years, traded them in at that point, so not sure how they look now.

    Paint or wrap them.
    You won’t regret it.
Fairly easy to do with mirrors.

I like those but I can't find any that are motorized folding that match my Platinum mirrors. Do those have the auto fold feature?

Almost got stranded today in my 21’.

I used the remote start function, but after I got in and the truck shut off I couldn’t start it again.

it detected the key, a button press would take it into accessory mode, but then with my foot on the break pressing the button did nothing. I tried for 5 mins straight. I even walked away/back with the key to try and “reset” and nothing. After about 5mins it miraculously started and has been starting find since. Was I just doing something wrong?

I thought about color-matching them but decided it's simply not worth my time and effort. I want to forget about these mirrors for years to come and I don't see a homebrew job lasting long enough to where I can do that, whether it be the paint chipping or vinyl peeling on the edges, stuff like that.

Auto fold or power fold? They have the option to be power fold but I believe the auto fold is dependent on the switch and other features on your truck. If you currently have autofold, I believe you will retain it if you get their powerfold. Calling @RainMan_PNW for confirmation.

I think mine also has rubber bumpers on the metal mounts between the boxes and mounts. You may want to check if those are missing or you may want to add some sort of bump stop in that area to accommodate for any slop. Just a thought.

    Installed predator side steps today!
I have an irrelevant and probably dumb question at this point....The parts manager said they are made of steel. I know from this forum that the predator steps in the US are aluminum. They didn't seem very heavy and a magnet did not stick to it. Are these aluminum?

Dealers are usually clueless. Ask a salesman about something on the truck....most of them don't have a clue.
