I am curious if anyone is running bed stiffeners, and if so, from who / do you think they add value?

I have a rack and a roof top tent along with other items on my bed rack. Though I have not seen sides "pushing out" I was considering getting some as a preventative measure.

Don’t need them so no one makes them, our beds are very strong as is.

When I was a kid I put a sheet of plywood under my bed to stiffen it up. Worked like a charm.

All jokes aside, I have not seen anybody use them on a first gen. Depending on the design of your rack it may provide some level of reinforcement to prevent the bed sides from bowing.

I get a weird clunk whenever my camper top goes on. I suspect bed flex but I digress. I’ve got a set of all-pro 2nd gen bed stiffeners that I intend on modifying to work if I ever get around too it . (Horizontal straight leg needs shortened by roughly 1.5 inches for them to work).
