In the double and crewmax flavors I'm wondering what the distance is between the dash and the rear of the cabin.

The evil plan would be: would it be feasible to build the passenger side into a sleeping area - maybe removing the passenger seat entirely, maybe laying it back with a platform of some sort built to fold out on top of it.

If the passenger seat were removed would the resulting floor be low enough to build a platform that would enable use of the underdash space (to make the overall platform longer) of is the floor too high and/or the dash too low?

    Just brainstorming...

I've not seen anyone do as you described but this thread may help (post 37):

    How tall are you?

The floor on the Crewmax is raised a couple of inches (I think its three) by a foam insert. Depending on the model you may also have a sub eating up a few inches on the rear bulkhead.

They sell an inflatable insert you can put in the back but if you are tall you will probably have to sleep with your legs bent.
