    Hello
I have a new 4x4 tundra double cab with TRD suspension. I ahve a few questions about leveling/lift kits for this truck. I have looked at some of the other forums and did not see answers to some of my questions, as I am building this for offroad camping in Baja.
So I am in the process of getting a Four wheel campers Hawk model pop up camper for the truck. ON most of the forums, the owners are suggesting the ride rite air suspension bags for the rear for the camper. I am questioning whether any one as experience with these air suspension in conjunction with a leveling/lift kit. The dealer told me that 3" or under lift does not void the warranty. So my thought was to put a 3/1 lif leveling kit on. But not sure how that effects the air suspension set up? What is the best lift kit for this, with heavy off road use? Thanks for your help!

Welcome from CO. Post pics of the new ride when you can. Adding a lift more that 3" doesn't void the warranty. Dealer would have to prove lift or any after market mod caused the damage. I'm not a lawyer, so please don't quote me on it. Plenty of guys here that are experts on towing. @ColoradoTJ is one . . .

I'd go with suspension first of all! Toytec, Icon, King and fox are all good ones. I'd talk to @Hattori about the rear.

I'd go with an icon leaf pack or deavers. All airbags are good for is keeping the truck end from sagging. A WDH would probably be better

OP, you'll see on here that what you're referencing is usually a Expo/Overland build. There are a few ways to achieve it. If you're going heavy off-road there are companies like OME/ARB, Deaver, Dakar, etc to take care of the weight distribution and ride comfort and quality. Shocks like King, Fox, SAW, Icon, Bilstein will take care of your coil over/ shock needs. You don't necessarily need air bags. They will help if you plan to do something like a Icon AAL with a resi shock in the rear. Your suspension won't easily get fatigued. Keep in mind you might have to do a spacer (look at FIR2366) with the bags.

There's more i can add to this but I'm bouncing around here at work so ill jump back in momentarily.

Thanks for all the replies. Would these suspension mods be in addition to the TRD suspension, or replacing it? Really appreciate all your help!

If you do a leveling kit, its going to hinder you in what you have planned for the rig. A decent setup to go with initially is something like Bilstien 6112's in the front, T/C or Camburg UCA's, Bilstien 5160's and Icon AAL on the OEM springs. This is a nice kit. It'll net you 2.75-2.85 lift in the front and a additional 1.5 in the rear. Its a comfortable setup that you can work your way up from. If you want to go a little above that, look at Kings (25001-143 and 25001-144 ) front and rear along with a custom Deaver Leaf system. I'd say you can do the K37's but they will sag a little with more weight on em. I run them on my setup but there's never more than over 350lb in my bed. Good thing about them is that they offer a good amount of travel and paired with a 2.5 body shock, the ride off road is AMAZING! Same thing goes for the Fox and Icon 2.5 C/O's and shocks.
