So I just picked up my tundra yesterday.. planning a lift in the near future maybe by early spring.. really really looking at fox. From what I’ve read the fox 2.5s would probably be the best for the truck because of weight. But with my budget I think the 2.0s or 6112s would be better for me.

My main goal is to lift the truck about 2” just to level it out a bit. Keep my factory tire size. And maintain a decent ride. Truck will never be off road. It’ll be on road only. If it helps it’s a 16crewmax 4x4 with trd off road package. Any help would be great. Thanks!

No experience with Fox. Had some Bilsteins on my previous 4Runner and didn't have any issues other than they weren't adjustable. I currently have Icons, no issues there either and are adjustable of which I have put to use. One thing that I can say about Icon is there tech support is on point, I have called Scott a half dozen times with questions about spring rates, dampening, rebound etc and they always answer and know there stuff. Hard to find that sometimes these days man.

For stock tire size, 6112’s on the first clip sounds like your best bet

If your budget allows for it, Fox 2.5 Remote Reservoir will definitely provide a superior ride for the street and off-road. It's definitely a big investment, but well worth it if you plan to have the truck for a long time. Tunable, rebuildable etc... but if thats not a big concern or value to you, cheaper shocks will get you that lift height you want.

What are your thoughts on 2.0s for someone that just needs a lift for bigger tires and is 98% on the pavement?

    Sorry to highjack the thread.

You pay for what you get really. 2.0 IFP are not tunable and most places will not rebuild them. If you are just looking for a lift, and not concerned with performance they will be just fine

Would you honestly just save money and buy 5100s?

Personally, no I would not. I've driven plenty of trucks with custom tuned shocks and the difference is night and day. For something I use every day, comfort is definitely a priority. Rides much nicer on the freeway, over bumps and just generally makes you feel more in control.
