I have an '03 Tundra Stepside TRD Sport. It has the original wheels, which appear to be cast aluminum or alloys, not sure. They have the 5 double spokes, that are common on most of the TRD trucks of that model. The wheels on my truck are not the bright aluminum color, but a darker more smokier color. I have seen these wheels referred to as being Hyper Gray and Hyper Silver. My question is are these wheels actually painted, and if so what is the correct color designation. I am thinking of getting my wheels refurbished. Thanks.

    It's good
I had those in the silver. For good restoration probably 200/per - so it was time for me to go aftermarket. I liked stock but wasn't married to them.

If you can see in the pic the darker color is what you have. The lighter is what came on the non step-side bed and some of the Sequoia.

The actual color for reference I'm not sure...

So you want the dark hyper silver. Happens in the past couple months I have order 2 sets. One light for me another dark for a friend.
Really not worth you time and trouble to have them refinished. About the same to just buy refurbished wheels.

I got a deal on my light hyper. Lucky found for 575.00 a set. The dark ones we got for 860.00. Bit higher but worth it. The quality just a little better I think. But the service from the company's was a lot better than any other. packing better. And call call and ask a question. Without waiting a week. To me I will always use them even if a bit higher. link below

This next place a little cheaper. But a couple minor blemishes, not good packing and not so great with customer service.

Also looks like these same wheels came in 4 colors. I think just the light hyper and dark hyper used on the tundra.
Then you had just painted silver and the Charcoal color that I think was on the sequoia.

Also my other post below has the pic of the dark hyper we got for my neighbor. But he wanted something odd and got chrome center caps.

The factory color for that year and model was actually "Blaze Orange". Don't worry, the body shop will know what it is and hook you up.

What's wrong with them that they need to be refurbished?
