I recently installed a set of deaver u748 springs at the deaver shop in Santa Ana. The ride is great, but I get this random popping noise. It doesn't matter if I'm driving at a consistent speed or stopping and starting. I called Deaver and they said it was normal while they settle because of the coating. Anyone else experience this with their springs? Thanks.truck.jpg springs1.jpg springs2.jpg

The second link to the raptor forum has some interesting info. Mine pop once in a while but it's not frequent. Seems I switched one problem for another. Couldn't stand the constant squeak of the Icon AAL even after spraying them. Lesson learned going forward - will no longer lift any of my trucks. Not worth it IMO if weird suspension noises bother you.

I had similar experience with dakars on my Tacoma, coating them in fluid film seemed to help with the noise. Good thing going forward is the 2022 has rear coils...

    It's good
Torque the bolts with truck weight on the suspension? Shock bolts (as stated)? Other than bushing slop or leaf keepers, kinda has to be leaf slap, no? I don't know what they are talking about with coating.

I torqued the ubolts last week. Deaver suggested 115 pounds but I did 95. 115 seemed like too much. The coating they put on them feels like some sort of rubber coating. Not exactly paint.

I recently had Deaver's and they were quiet - G57, Gen 1. I know the coating but I can't imagine chrome plating creating popping.
