New member here, I just bought a 2006 Limited Double cab with 94,000 miles after some guy crashed into me and totaled my 2003 SR5 access cab 235k miles. This truck is pretty nice however there’s going to be a lot of little details I’m going to have to fix since the original owner obviously didn’t drive it much.

One of them being that the rear seat is stuck, has anybody had this problem and can tell me if it’s hard/expensive to fix. It looks like they had this problem looked at as I can see marks by the handle.

Same thing happened to me with my 06 DBC Limited. It was annoying, cause it happened when I first got the truck. I can assure you nothing is broken. Try pressing down on the folded seat with a lot of force. This happens when the rear seats are not often folded. Give that a shot and report back.

I think the same thing happens when I jam a recovery rope or jumper cables behind my seat. It's so tight that you need to smack it down to get it to release.

Glad you got it working. Truck looks awesome, save for that clearcoat fail.

I'm shocked by how common clearcoat failure is in hotter climates on the metallic trucks. Makes owning a non-metallic truck, they all used single stage paint. No clearcoat to fail. That's also bittersweet, more labor to keep it shiny.
