    i just bought the Nitto Ridge Grapplers about 2 weeks ago and are great, but!

    The had a nice coating on them and looked good, guess from the factory!

    Yesterday I detailed the truck and thought ide use a good nylon tire brush I bought for big tires and scrubbed real good and firm!

    Today I noticed the film was gone and tires looked like shit, like a gazzilion swirl marks and scratches, they looked dry and like crap!

    Did I hurt it at all taking that film off and is that just a protective film for shipping!

    Can I use anything to get that film and black look back on and will those scratch marks go away if so!

    Sorry if dumb post but little details like this bums me out!

    Personally...i like tire bleach it gets all grim off..then i heard someone else on here uses 303 protectant makes look new but no shine which is what i like but hard to find locally

    You have scratched the surface of the rubber with your wire brush!

    Not a good idea to use a wire brush to clean your tires!

    The scratches will probably always be there as the side walls to not get much wear!

    Some tire dressing may hide the scratches!

    A little of this and a little of that.
    Just get some 303 from Amazon and smear it all over your tires. Will look good as new.

    Not a wire brush but it's a plastic brissle brush and no need to hide the scrubbed marks the scratches will go away, it's not like painted surface!

    I'm just asking what the best to get it back to the non scrubbed/scratched look!!

    Nah it didn't hurt the tires, juat spray on some 303. Should give it a nice flat black look. The film was going to wear off anyways

    Then waking up to go out and seeing your tires with cat scratch fever and the first 3 words out of my mouth were
