New Rago Dash Mount

I recently purchased the Rago Dash Mount for my 2015 SR5. Upon opening the package I had the pleasant surprise of seeing they’ve modified the product to include the USB ports directly in the unit. The pic below shows the wiring. They haven’t yet updated the installation video for the newly improved version of the mount, so I was hoping someone would have a sense of how I would go about properly getting this thing wired in. It looks fairly straightforward, but before I start taking things apart, I figured someone on here would know exactly what to do.

All you'll need to do is hook up to 12v, easiest way i would do it is to run wires down the back of the radio to the 12v sockets below the AC controls.

Yeah, it's a really cool feature. Really impressed by the overall quality of the product - can't wait to get it installed.

 

I have some USBs on my ICS mount ran mine and ran wiring down to and tied into the 12v cigarette lighter.

 

Nice. Is it a pretty simple process? Basically just need a little wire and connect on both ends? I don't know jack about wiring!

 

Yup, red to red, black to black. Use crimp Connectors not twist on ones.

Absolutely this also. They take up less space and they’re much more reliable across the board.

 

I want one w/o the usb, if anyone has one they want to get rid of. Gonna give Rago a call to see if they have any left over.

 

I'm planning on upgrading mine from the 1st generation, with rivnuts, to the new one with USB. I'll sell you the old one if you like.

I just installed mine last week, along with the FRAC kit. Drilled 4 holes into the dash, used 3 to secure the Rago, the back middle one I used to route the wires down behind the head unit. Used T-taps to the cig light wiring.
