Payload is still depressing on the limited non hybrid crewmax.

 

Campers are great and certainly have a huge upside, but wall tents are simple and dependable.

Towing the same TT with different trucks you end up with very similar MPG. It takes a certain amount of energy (fuel) to pull a TT at a maintained speed. I’ve towed my TT with three different trucks, a 2018 Tacoma, 2020 Tundra and a 2013 Nissan Frontier. All were very close on mpg at around 10mpg.

 

Same thing I've heard from friends, whether they drive 5.7 Dodge, 5.7 Tundra, 3.5EB F150 or 6.0 GM.

 

I like your pup. I have a GWP and he’s ready to get after some quail here in Texas. I keep mine in the truck cab, so it will be interesting to see how much floor space is in front of the storage bin and if it’s removable. Otherwise I’ll have to get a soft topper (move too much large stuff for a permanent cap).

With all the tow hook panic a shot up under the front to see the air dam and possible mounting points may prevent some aneurisms.

 

If you could get pricing, MPG, biggest tire size that can fit on the truck, and verify that the 2019-2021s do/don't have a transmission cooler that would be great too

 

It still makes little difference. There is a certain amount of energy that is required.

 

One thing I am personally curious about is the paint protection. Can you look along the bottom of the doors and in front of the wheels to see if they still have the chip guard? Do they have the clear PPF in front of the rear wheel like the current gen?

Also, a shot of the wheel well liners would be cool. I'd like to see how they interact with the "flares" that the trucks have and how much exposed paint there is. It's a bit of a trouble spot on my truck due to the dirt roads and AT tires.

 

Tug on the "mustache" around the front grill to see if it's a separate piece from the grill, I'm hoping it's just snapped on around the grill, and we can easily change them out for the color we prefer

A NA engine use around 13:1 afr, while a turbo engine use 11-12:1 Afr under boost.

I am of the opinion that the TRD PRO should have had a more Off Road friendly Front and Rear end similar to what Ford, Chevy and Dodge did with their dedicated High Performance Off Road Models.

 

Yup. Moving something requires a fixed amount of energy. Sustaining that movment requires more energy

But you are pushing more air through so the 13:1 is negated. To move an object requires the same amount of power. It does not matter what the source of the power happens to be. The stored power in the battery will give some benefit as the electric motor is used in the hybrid, how much will be forthcoming in a TFL tow test sometime next year. Hopefully we can have reality checks before 2023.

 

Maybe see if there's a boost gauge option in the cluster?
