    Hey everyone,

I currently have a set of 285/65/18 KO2’s on my 2019 Pro, and have been wanting to go to 295/70/18 tires and wanted to stay with KO2’s but I’ve checked at all the tire shops for the past year and am getting conflicting information about wether they are going to either be manufacturing them or are in the process now and are back ordered. There’s not a definite answer I’ve seen, and am debating on just getting some Wild Peak AT3s or Open Country AT3s.
Anyone have some solid info on them? I’ve only used BFG my whole life and I’m happy with them and think they look the best out of all the options, but the Falkens I’ve heard are better, and come in second for looks in my opinion.

I have a family member at Discount Tires and he told me that the 295-70-18 KO2s are backordered til December or later.

With that said, ive praised the Toyo Open Country AT3s enough on this forum and on every other forum / group im a part of. I will sum up my opinion by saying as a former loyal KO2 fan over the last 15 years having owned 6 sets in various sizes, the Toyo AT3s have converted me to a Toyo fan.

I installed Toyo AT3s on my wife's Subaru last year before the crazy winter storm in Oregon because the KO2s we had just bought were unbearably noisy. Last Saturday I replaced the 275-70-18 KO2s on my Tundra with 295-70-18 Toyo AT3s and they are so much better in every way.

I ran KO2s on my Ram, and they were a solid tire as long as I stayed of wet pavement. For the Tundra I tried the Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws, and I feel it's been a better tire. Still throw rocks, but the wet performance is much better in my experience. Neither is going to be stellar in mud, but that's an AT in general. I'm not certain the Falkens are as "tough" as the KO2s, but they didn't let me down going over Imogene's rocks and such at 20-23 PSI. I won't be going back to KO2s.

I switched from the KO2's to the Wildpeaks and couldn't be happier, they are quiet, smooth, good traction in the water and balance out perfect. I got the 295 70 18s and they are awesome.

I was told that they would be in now when I checked Discount like 8 months ago, and now they said they have no idea and even said they might not be making them. I’m going to have to choose something soon, or else whether or not I want to, and need to fill up the wheel well on my stock Pro a little more.

Those are my preferred option and I’m sure they’re better. I just have liked the KO’s because they look a bit more aggressive. I think the KOs have a 50k warranty now as well. They didn’t before.

I probably won’t be going in mud, but they have the 295/70/18 BFG KM3s in stock haha.

This Nexen 295/70/18 is such a amazing tire. It handles great on the road and is a heavy duty 10 ply tire. Super square on my TRD rims and super quiet. And amazing price and value. I paid 1200.00 total Otd with a front alignment too. Check them out..
