Hey all, newbie here and proud tundra owner.... i want to upgrade the head unit in my 2019 sr5
non jbl system and i have Sirius subscription. Can i use the xm receiver that is currently in my setup or do i need to get a new aftermarket one?
I'm looking at a Sony XAVAX8000 unit from best buy and was going to buy the install harnesses from crutch field.

You would need an external SiriusXM SXV300V1 Tuner.
SiriusXM SXV300V1 Tuner Enjoy SiriusXM satellite radio with your compatible aftermarket or factory radio (subscription sold separately by SiriusXM) at Crutchfield

But in all honesty, the Sirius signal sounds much better running in off the phone app thru bluetooth or Android Auto or Apple Carplay.
I have the tuner with my Kenwood HU, but I never use it.
I always run my Sirius thru the phone app with Apple Carplay.

I'd also recommend a HU with WIRELESS Android Auto or Apple Carplay.

    I haven't owned a Sony HU in 12 years..
I'd recommend a Pioneer or Kenwood HU, but get whatever you want.

You'll also need a iDatalink Maestro RR Interface Module and required adapters to retain steering wheel control

Your existing Sirius module is built into the head unit.
You'll have to get an add on module.

Are you dead set on that Sony? Only reason I ask is that I haven't really heard anything anything good about Sony head units (except their really high end single din ones). It's gonna be some more money, but have you looked at the Kenwood dmx1037? Screen is HD vs sd on the Sony and has wireless Android auto/carplay.
You would still need to get an add on Sirius XM module.
