Generally, first days back from weekends or vacations are treated like somebody who just got up. Let them get coffee first, and don't dump stuff on them that isn't urgent.

 

Well, I'm wiped out. Had a generally solid day, got work handled, and just trying to stay awake long enough that I don’t wake up in the wee hours.

I hit a serious wall just before lunch. Just trying to push thru for another hour or so. I’ll be dragging until the weekend

 

Well, that sucks. On the bright side, I went to bed at 8:30 and woke up 4 hours later, so you should be sleeping great right now!

Celebrating with tank of gas…Just a few weeks shy of two years of ownership. Covid has really cut into my driving. And saved me a lot of gas money.

 

21k miles seems like it was only yesterday, but I have my 30k service scheduled for Wednesday along with the fuel pump recall. Time flies.

 

I should be in the 30-32k range by now if things were normal. It actually feels like I drive way less than that, but I think my occasional road trips help make up for all the short trips.
That and there are 1,500 miles on my Corolla that were not made in the truck…

 

LOL - just over 23k here, and one year comes up in a couple weeks.

This week has been a bit wonky so far. Hoping the Friday vibe calms things down a little and we can all just enjoy the day.

I feel like the lawn mower being started for the first time after a long winter. RPM at about 20, slowly increasing…

 

That's a proper Friday fire up. Rushing is not on the agenda, and neither is spiking the blood pressure unnecessarily. Just a nice easy pace today.

 

Ended. I ended up with Linda. I mean her name wasn't Linda, but yeah. I ended up with her.

She had her normal makeup on when we met, so she looked like Ann Margaret (not hyperbole) and acted like Brandi Love. Then, 20 minutes later we were married and she went to 'powder her nose' and came out of the john looking and acting like Linda up there. The next morning I woke up and actual Voldemort was standing over the bed with a book and a wand turning me into Dobbie the house elf. And that's the most references I've ever made to a movie franchise I've never seen. But it's all true.

 

I'm gonna turn 20k on mine in about two months, so a month shy of 2 years. It's a time of life thing for me. Had a honda civic back when my son was young, and between carting him back and forth, college, work, and the 9 minutes a week I had for a social life, I put 42k miles on it each of 4 years in a row. Glad things are quieter and I work from home...

 

Looking forward to a weekend of house chores. Time to winterize everything. Trailer, yard/garden, hose bibs, etc. Might even get some Halloween decorations up.

I normally have to wait until late September to 'want' to do house chores because of my tender constitution and the Texas heat. This year somehow it's getting pushed to mid- or late-October, also because of my tender constitution and the Texas heat. Still my 'want to' and my wifes 'going to' are a very stoppable force and a very immovable object, so here I go...
