Living in Southern California AC is always on, small amount of condensation under truck normally when stopped. A little cooler here today and I ran the heater. Each time I stopped a large 12 inch, puddle of condensation was dripping out from under the transmission transfer case area. I checked it, sniffed it, not anti frz, not tranny fluid not oil, definitely condensation. The water was warm though dripping into my hand, but could have just been from running down the hot transmission.

Welcome to having more than one season.

I actually think I figured out what was causing the condensation with the heater on. Just got back in my truck and realized the AC light was on and the temperature was at 73. I didn't turn off the AC. I had just turned the temperature up, and that would tell me the AC compressor was still running, on overtime, to compensate for my temperature raise.

    Glad you figured it out.

I don't like that the ac stays on through ignition cycles but the recirc. only lasts 5 minutes....

Notarobot, I agree I wish all systems would shut down and make you start them over again after restarting
