A little of this and a little of that.
Installed some Demello Offroad Rock Crusher Sliders this morning. These suckers are damn solid sliders!! No wonder they weigh 70-80 lbs each. Used two floor jacks to get them into place while we bolted the sides on and drilled the bottom of the truck out. Here's some pics of the progress of the install.......

Now I just need to find time to install my SpiderTrax and LED headlights that have been sitting in the garage for a few months...

I really like those sliders, seem to have just the right amount of "step" to em. If that makes sense.

Looks nice. How many holes did you have to drill for those?

Totally makes sense. I like the amount of step as well. At first I was worried about my foot sliding off of the slider but after getting in 'n out of the truck a few times this morning I am no longer worried.

    Thank you!!

Aren't they? Thank you for the nice response!!

They are beefy. You wouldn't want to slip off onto your shin or knee, that's for sure. Thank you!!

    Thanks @boardude !!!

Thank you!! I had to drill 6 holes for the bottom of the part of the slider that connects to the truck. The side part that connects to the truck installs in minutes. They line up with factory "holes" already there.

Actually IT SUCKS!!!!! The hardest metal I've ever seen. Took 5-6 new metal drill bits!! If I ever had to do again I'd find some other kind of industrial bit. Maybe some diamond bit.

I just ordered these from Demello, looks like a 8 week wait for me though. I have the 38 Gallon fuel tank does it look like there will be issues when mounting? or are the mounts nowhere near tank. I have seen other threads about issues with sliders and the 38 tank.

Diamond bits are for drilling stone and they're too expensive. Even though diamond is harder than metal, metal will eat up diamond bits.

Any of the harder steel bits, maybe cobalt. Diamond bits will start really good but they're usually coated and that coating will come off really quick on steel. The diamond infused bits will be better but they're ridiculously expensive. The key is a sharp bit and using lots of lubrication.

I can't speak for demello, but i have CBI's non advertised sliders (you gotta call in to order) - for one bolt i had to loosen the gas tank straps and drop the tank a few inches to fit the driver side most rearward bolt going into the side of the frame.
