FUUUUUUU..... In the mens bathroom on the second floor the corner most shower has a gap in the basin. which is the one that backed up on me. And I made sure it did't flow out. I felt bad enough for you guys already

My truck used to think it was a 3rd gen. But now Toyota calls it a 2nd gen. And the forum is labeling it as a 2.5 gen. My truck is now so confused I think it’s identifying as a 1st gen. Soooooo…. Can I come?

No. Yes. Kind of. I don’t look closely at your route to see that you plan to go to Anza. If you mean the town of Anza (not Anza-Borrego) I figure you could drive down the coast then inland toward Temecula on pavement. Then go through the tiny town of Anza (not Anza-Borrego) to do Thomas Mountain. But instead of coming out on the Hemet Lake side, we could turn west, go down toward Perris then, at the bottom where it comes out by a fire station, it’s about 1/4 mile on pavement to the bottom of Bee Canyon… more dirt up to Idyllwild.

If you meant Anza-Borrego, I’m kinda picturing a stretch of pavement that could cut from the Anza-Borrego up to Thomas Mountain, but I’ve never done it or looked at a map. I will if you want me to find a route.

No just Anza. I think this route is what you are thinking. obviously its not perfect because google maps. But I think it gist the gist of the idea.Screen Shot 2021-10-01 at 10.07.53 PM.jpg

    EDIT: see updated route below

HAHA. Maybe over spring break I'll do a midwest/east coast roll call road trip. Or I'm going to do the Imogene pass and some other stuff.

@Sunnier. I think I fixed the route. this avoids roads as much as possible, the way it should be. do you and @des2mtn approve?

Yep, that looks right. It’ll take longer than you’d think, that run down Rouse Rd. I did it recently.

Yup, I second this. Rouse Hill was long and slow, but has good views. Bautista is another route that's flat with some pavement. It connects with Rouse and Thomas.

I’ve not done this. Can you post that with markings showing which bits are pavement. If it’s just those short stretches in the top corner, the straight runs between turns, that’d be cool. If it’s pavement, I’ll go along with whatever Jason decides. But if that you posted is pavement, it might be cool to do the entire length of Thomas mountain up top, out near Hemet lake, then double back over pavement to get to the route you posted. More dirt, saves time and views, still gets us to the bottom of Bee Canyon.

If you don't turn off to go up the backside of Thomas, Bautista will eventually hit Anza/ 371.

If Bautista is a little faster than I don't have a problem with it. and depending on how long either route takes I know another faster way up the hill from hemet. Old control road takes about a quarter of the time but bee canyon is definitely prettier and more fun

Is Old Control Rd open, or gated off now? If that’s an option, I’d love to do it, as I’ve not done it before. I’ve done Bee Canyon. I’d always rather learn a new route.

It’s a 3/4 day trip. Easy, peasy and a great idea for you to pick a date and post an invitation over on the Shenanigans thread. :boink: Pretty centrally located. Probably get 20+ trucks as soon as the weather cools down. If you plan to start early, Idyllwild Pizza Co. would be a great place for people to meet and chat and compare trucks. If you set a date I can make, I’d go. :)

Have you got him building something I don’t know about?

Edit: If you mean, his build, yes, he’ll be “done” soon. But it’s unlikely he’ll come out for one of our easy Shenanigans Shit Show runs. T2S is the place to meet him and check out his truck.

Yes, you can do these routes in your Tundra, they're all easy. The mountain is more take it easy because of humps, rocks, blind turns/ rises, and it's only wide enough for one vehicle in a lot of areas. Plus you don't want to have a head on.

Shoot, I forgot to check when driving through there the other week but it was at night. Might be worth a call to the FS.

It was open when I was there last in July, and it hasn't been snowing alot up there in recent years so it should be open.

I agree with this. We just did a route from Sedona to Payson area, did some off-road exploration and camping, came back to Phoenix on pavement. That 17 route is pretty, but if you’ve got an extra night to camp, this’d be a fun alternative.
