Hi All. This winter I'm planning an extended trip to bring my Tundra from San Francisco to college here in Tucson. The purpose of this trip is to meet as many of you best gen owners as possible and hopefully have some fun with you guys! The current plan is take the two day drive and extended to a week. I'm planning on leaving the bay Area on the 3rd of January and arriving in Tucson around the 10th. The plan is to go down the coast to the SD area then back up and in towards the San Jacinto Mountains. Then out to the dessert. If anyone is interested in meeting up and showing me around where they live or the local trails let me know below I'd love to meet as many of you as possible!!

1ST GENS ONLY!!! Not my fault you don't have good taste.

EDIT:I will be posting route updates Below and discussion of changing the route and scheduling will be in a large PM. So if you are interested in meeting up or joining the convoy somewhere along the way. Let me know below and I will add you to the PM.

I just camped out at Lake Hemet in the San Jacinto Mountains. It’s nice up there!

I love it up there. I'm lucky enough to have a family cabin in Idyllwild where I have spent every summer since I was born. My sister even went to Idyllwild arts. Hence the detour back north.

It's only ~13hrs, you can make it in a day. It'd take me longer to drive to Brooklyn and I'd have a far less-pleasant drive. OP is wisely taking the scenic route. Jealous! :D

I'll put these dates in my calendar and try to request off some time from work. If I come along and depending how long I go, we can substitute 70+ miles of dirt for the I-10.

I'm down when you head to Orange County, Huntington Beach area to be more specific...

You should coordinate it with the local Toyota meet-ups around here so you can check out the different rigs.

Just update when it gets closer to the trip, doubt that I would remember...

Yay. I'm looking to meet as many of you as possible. So the route is flexible to ensure I can do that. I should probably get this in the Socal meet up/ roll call threads as well. just don't want any turd gens getting the wrong idea. they seem to be a little sensitive.

If the days work, I’ll go with you over Thomas Mountain (camp?) then up Bee Canyon into Idyllwild. Could maybe accompany you guys out on the dirt alternative to the 10.

And… unless you want 30 trucks of all generations, skip adding it to the SoCal Shenanigans thread. We see color , but we don’t see generation over there.

Are you talking about going from Anza over Thomas mountain then over to bee canyon and up the mountain?

Once you get your truck in T Town, I can show you some of the local trails, you AC should do really well out here in some of the tight trails.
Ive only done it once, it’s closed now, but Rice Peak it’s pretty bad ass, I think it took 4+ hours to do 5 miles up and back. There is reddington and Chiva falls off of it, but I know that trail can be a little hairy; look up 3 feathers…..

We were next door today after lunch. You’ve probably met or seen Ken. He’s super nice and bubbly.
Actually we were in Graham before lunch checking on a room. I have one of the loudest sets of keys, second to Ken’s probably. Ken has a Beatles mop top and always has a hat on. I’ve got a baseball mullet that’s in shambles!

    Oh your at CoCo!
Dude we see sooooo much “non approved” shit, I could care less.
This one year, the president was helping with move in, PR stunt and was videoed helping a kid move their bike into their room!
That’s not my dept, nor do I give a shit!

also I wouldn’t leave my bike outside either!!!!!

I got my commute bike stolen on the third day of school. There is no way I'm leaving my $5000 mountain bike A. outside or B. in one of those boxes. Also I don't know how but Coco is worse than GrGr. you won't catch me using the bathtub here :rofl:forgot my bubble bath.

Graham is so ass backwards. the girls bathrooms have urinals the boys doesn't. The toilets are practically useless. you have to double flush for a piss. And don't even get me started on when the shower backed up on me a few weeks ago I almost threw up in the shower. Some poor man spent 2 hours fixing it.

So Graham has been one of my worst on calls to date. Backed up shower on the lower 1st floor north east wing. You’ve seen the shower “basins” they were completely overflowing with brown water, into the hall ways and into the rooms!!!!! All of the kids tip toeing thru the water…….with no shoes on. I’m disgusted and I have boots on! I was there until 5am taking care of the aftermath.
