Just bought a 2019 Tundra Sr5 5.7 V8 and traded a 2011 Tacoma for it. I feel like the seats are not as comfortable as the Tacoma's were. Any one else feel the same and what kind of aftermarket padding did you use to make the seats more comfortable. Thanks

Nope, the Tundra seats to me are more comfortable than any Tacomas I have owned. They are even more comfortable than my 2016 4Runners. Some here put leather covers on, maybe those will help? But I have no experience with them. Good luck finding a solution.

I've always thought Tundra seats were more comfortable than Tacoma seats, regardless of generation.

How long have you had it? May just need a few weeks to get used to the different seat if you had the Tacoma for a while.

Feel fine to me. Spent many 12+ hour driving sessions behind the wheel. Never felt any pain or discomfort while driving.

My 2012 Tacoma seats are more comfortable. Both have Katzkin leather. Once the Katzkin broke in on the Tundra, those seats got pretty comfortable.

The seats are really different between the two trucks.

I thought the seats in the tundra were extremely uncomfortable also. I tried cloth and leather but both the same. Then the salesman stated that the platinum and 1794 are more comfortable and they are. I've had my 1794 for just over a year now and they are nice and comfy.

    Good luck!

My 2021 Limited Seats are border line hard.
Also need to be tilted back. May try those seat jackers with the front panel mount.

2016 SR5 with cloth seats. Not super comfortable for me. They are massive the angle always feels a bit off. I’ve gotten used to it and don’t think I’ll put any money towards addressing it. When I was researching how to change, these were my top options:
    1) visit local upholstery shop and have them re work the padding (lots of people on here suggest that in various threads
    2) replace with an aftermarket seat. Like this http://scheel-mann.com/seats/sportline

It really just depends on your physiology. We're all built a little different, tight or loose in different places, etc, just based on our size, weight, shape, body mass composition, etc. Each experience will be different.

My 07 Tacoma with cloth interior was miserable after less than an hour, but with a simple towel rolled up behind my lumbar region I could drive in it all day. In the Tundra it's perfectly fine. My 05 Sonata and 00 grand prix were fine. My 16 mustang GT had the most comfortable seats I've ever owned, even being a racing style with high sides. My wife's 13 explorer XLT has my back and hips screaming after an hour, and a towel in the lumbar region doesn't help. It's just me. Someone else will likely have a different experience. Good luck finding a compromise with the foam! :)

It's subjective, as everyone above here has mentioned. But my seats are great for me. It is the electrically adjusted seat which can change angle, height, lumbar etc. which might make a difference from the manual base seat. I believe the actual seat is the same, it's just the additional adjustments that might get you better situated.
I have done several 3,000 mile+ road trips and never felt that it was uncomfortable.
But to answer OP's question, most of the better aftermarket seat covers (Clazzio, Coverking etc.) will give you some additional padding which some have reported in previous threads about the seats made a difference in the seat comfort.

You aren't the first person I've heard this from. I like the sleek looks of the 3rd Gen Tundra seats compared to my 2nd Gen and was just about to do a swap until I heard so many complaints about comfort. If you need more cushion, look into swapping with Sequoia seats as they bolt right in and are made for comfort.

I notice my 4runner Pro seats seem to fit me much better than the tundra Pro seats. And I know it’s because of my size. I’m not a big person so the tundra seats are much bigger. I’m thinking of putting the Wet okole seats covers on to make me stay in place better and be more comfortable.

No more ludicrous than driving around in a $50k truck with seats that you don't like...

    Haha!
Yeah, they are not cheap, but I'm my opinion the connection point from the seat to the cab is pretty important and no place to skimp.
Many here disagree and are comfortable with rubber bushings or washers or whatever, and that's fine for them, but there's really no need for that if something purpose built that matches the factory mating setup is available. If they were $500 I'd say look for another option, but for less than a tank of gas or a dinner out, its worth it to make your seats more comfortable.

For me, the seat itself is super comfy, firm but not stiff. Too much padding hurts my back more than a firm seat. Same way I can't sleep in most hotels because the mattresses are way too soft.
My issue was the sitting position was too flat. Even with the back all the way down and the front all the way up I felt like I was sliding forward. Then I found the seat jackers from another member here and gave them a shot. That 1" raise in front is perfect for me, and I feel much more planted "in" the seat rather than just sitting "on" the seat.

When you get them and see the way they mount and perfectly recreate the guide pin and bolt setup you'll feel better about the purchase.
Plus if you opt for the molle panel its a perfect place for a flashlight, IFAK, pistol, knife, fire extinguisher, whatever you want to mount down there.

in the last year, I had a 2008 Tundra Crewmax, 2007 Tacoma Doublecab, 2003 Toyota Land Cruiser, 2016 Toyota Tundra, 2008 FJ Cruiser and a few more...

The 2008 Tundra and 2003 Land Cruiser was the most comfortable. The 2016 Tundra is pretty stiff even thought it has more padding then the 2008 Tacoma. Hope that helps.

The seating position is Ok, just not a lot of contour at least on my 2016 Limited. flat base and pretty flat back with stiff leather/pleather whatever it is. Just drove my wife's outback with leather after a year or so and forgot what a good seat feels like, aside from being too low
