    This was the guys!

The worst thing about these kids is they can party all night and still get up earlier than I do so I don't even get the joy of firing up my truck while they're all passed out!

I see that I missed the what pieces of metal did they put you back together with portion of today's discussion.
I've had a few, but this is the only one I actually still have. This is what they put my leg back together with after one of my motocross crashes. You can see the marks from the pliers they used at the top to pull it out.

@ToyoMafia and anyone else curious about the saga of my replacement amp in my truck not, well, really amplifying, here is the conclusion. If you remember the Crutchfield tech thought that the input voltage from the speaker level harness just wasn't enough and that I should use RCAs. To Crutchfield's credit and an example of their great customer service, he sent me 2 LOCs and 2 RCA cables, 2nd day air no less, for free. Today I rewired in the LOCs, fired it up and..........................same damn thing. To get any volume out of it all gains (LOC, amp, and bass boost) had to be maxed out, so same problem.

Frustrated and as a test, I reinstalled the old Alpine using the new LOC converters instead of the speaker inputs as it has been for years and it worked fine, just as it used to (until it drops a channel again which is why I did this in the first place).

So I am 100% sure that either I got a bad amp, or that this Kenwood is way overrated power wise. I'll call Crutchfield tomorrow to set up a return and go from there.

I’ve been buying tires from them since they were America’s Tire and now Discount Tires. They have always been the best price and good customer service in my experience.

I think there is one in the Tri-Cities. But still, over 60 miles away. If it was spring, I'd be willing to travel for tires. But this time of year I don't have the time to travel for goods. It's work and hunting when not working.

Unless you use their return policy..
Then they tag your account for future purchases and hold future orders for a few days before shipping....

Then when you call and ask "What's up with that?", customer service supervisor talks down to you like you fu**ed his mother...

    Ef' Crutchfield...:mad::(:amen:

If you return more than 2 or three orders, they tag your account.
I returned some nickel and dime stuff ($40 worth) I didn't use on an install and I returned a JL Audio mono sub amp in the process of trying to figure out what was wrong with my Stealthbox.
Come to find out the JL Audio wired the sub wrong when they made it.

A year later I ordered a 5 channel Focal amp and paid for next day shipping on a Thursday morning.
I should have been delivered Friday, or so it said when I ordered it..
I needed it for a 3 day weekend to get it installed.
But they held the order until the following Tuesday to ship it.
I didn't need it by then.
I then went around and around with CS and a CS supervisor on the phone.

I asked him where does it say you penalize customers that use your return policy?
He said 'It doesn't, but it tags your account for future orders'.
He was less than happy with the words I used with him, but I didn't care.
I canceled the Focal order even after they had shipped it.
He was even more unhappy about that.
Took 2 weeks to credit my card.

Crutchfield is great, I've used them for years..
But don't brag about your no hassle return policy if you hold it against a customer for using it.

Just my last experience with them..

My grandmother had her leg removed probably about 2010 or so. When the doctor came in to go over everything with her before the surgery, I asked what they were going to do with it and if we could have it. He said no, it wasn’t allowed because it’s a biohazard. I’d never thought about it before but that pissed me off.

I’ve said ever since that I would fight like hell to keep any of my limbs if I had to have one amputated. My kids have sworn to do it if I wasn’t conscious. I’ve checked several times over the years online and have seen both answers. Seems like you can force the issue, but the hospitals will do their damndest not to give it to you.

It’s one of those things almost no one considers, but it’s become very important to me. I found a lady online a while back who fought to keep her leg. It has its own social media accounts and she posts pics of it everywhere she travels.

I’d have kept it if it were me. Best part would be that at some point after you died, some family member would have to decide what to do with it.

Sorry about your mom that must have been incredibly hard.
I’m not sure if they let him keep it because of religious reasons or what. I do know he didn’t physically keep it. It was buried, ya know, ahead of him. So like I said at the time, he literally had one foot in the grave.
So if you feel that strongly about it, I’d be ready to claim a religious argument. We could probably start a “church” here in our spare time and make sure nobody’s limbs get incinerated.

Well, I now no longer work on the tools and instead have a cushy government job where I get paid to browse the interwebs, attend 1st Gen mobs, fraternize with you degenerates and maybe once in awhile do something vaguely resembling work. If it were my tax dollars paying my salary, I'd be pissed. :D

The things that you consider important issues never ceases to amaze and inspire me.
