So I might try my luck at eyeballing a hole into the cover cap, so it cleans up the screw/standoff a little better

Made a shower bag bracket for the Sedona trip coming up. No trees, no problem; you can see my who-ha, your problem!
I should be able to tie a tarp to my swing out, while it’s open and make a sweet Lil shower stall. 4885AD6F-0DCC-4F83-AC2F-71875873DA11.jpg

So did y’all with a scan gauge have to program codes in for the trans temp?

I think I’ve got trans temp pulled up on my ultra gauge and it was pre programmed in

Ultragauge is pretty cool. My only real complaint is that it will self destruct in the Summer. Be careful how hot your car gets with that thing or the screen can fail. I pulled mine out for the Summer and hoping I don't have to calibrate it again.

Scan gauge doesn't seem to care how hot or cold it is outside. To be fair mine has only seen 30f at the coldest.

SG does fine in the heat, shoot, the company is based in Mesa Az. I’m sure the warehouse isn’t climate controlled!
I’ve actually been to their office to buy mine and have them set it up to read tire pressure, super nice people!

@Darkness @FrenchToasty i wondered about that. My edge in the Cummins is the same way, no issues with heat. It’s mounted on the a pillar and doesn’t care what time of the year it is . I guess if the ultra grenades I pick up a scan gauge lol

    Yep tire pressure!!
I think I need to pull the one we use in the back room and change the filter dryer and recharge; I feel like it’s low on gas, keep seeing lots of frost on the back wall. We had issues with the Receptacle it was plugged into, changed that. And then one day it was off on overload, so I’m thinking I’m not getting enough cooling back to the compressor from a low charge or clogged drier; usually it leaks from the factory crimp offs

Hmm, I would add TPMS to my truck if a scan gauge could give me live PSI readouts. Wonder if that would be possible on the early trucks.

This came from a old 4runner thread, but I think you could mail them your unit, and they will reprogram it so it can support tire pressure and whatever else.
I hadn’t bought one yet, so I just contacted them directly and picked it up from their office in the valley of doom!
I’d email or call and ask them what would need to be done.

Yeah I’m not sure when the cutoff would be, maybe we need the committee on this one, but I think your a 1.5 gen, so maybe you would have the capability

Getting the truck ready for the beach trip. Went to grease the upper ball joints and found red grease. I don't own red grease. Apparently they lubed them when they did the alignment recently.

Removed the rear seat. One nice bonus is that those hooks are useful for holding things.

So late night break testing happened tonight.. I really need to get these rear disks done. Pressed the pedal as hard as I possibly could, balance front and rear feels great, but full force on the pedal ABS doesn’t do anything. My grip to the road is better than my brakes. Must fix this.
