I received this Teraflex Falcon Sport Tow/Haul Leveling kit a couple of months ago, and never got around to having them installed on my truck.

I had to open the box in order to take photos of them, but the box was sealed before.

I also have a new set of rear shock mount insulators/cushions (485050C010 and 471310C010, 2 each) so that you'll get new rubber on the rear when installing.

    Full Disclosure:

The reason I am selling these shocks brand new in box is due to the fact that I (unfortunately) no longer own a Tundra.

I purchased these shocks as part of a group buy a couple of months ago, where they were sold at 20% off MSRP (which was $1500 at that time, MSRP for them now is $1740), not including sales tax. Thus, I paid $1200 for them before sales tax. I live in Santa Clara County in California, where sales tax is 9.125%

Thus, the math breaks down to:
$1200 - What I paid for the shocks
$120 - What I paid for the suspension rubber (over the counter, in hindsight, the dealer for sure overcharged me here)

    $1320 * 1.09125 = $1440.45

Past this, I am looking to be paid via PayPal "Goods and Services", which provides buyer protection. PayPal charges 30 cents + 2.9%, which more or less works out to ~$42. I had originally listed them at $1600 with the intention of taking "a best offer" and amortizing shipping costs for it to the total (i.e. balancing the books for shipping, for example, if shipping was $150, the total price would have only been $30 higher than asking), but still attempting to ensure I was not "losing" money on the item as it is brand new in box. When added to the "price I've paid" of ~$1440, that works out to about $1482. I am now revising my price to a "bottom-dollar" price.

I'm looking for $1500 shipped within the continental US, or $1440 if you would like to pick them up locally from me (SF Bay Area)

This is still available, and shipping rates for it are not bad at all as I have a friend with contract shipping rates who is able to get it into circulation.

Dude... you got these in a group buy for way less than $1600 and you got it with free shipping. This is pretty shadey now that the price of the kits has spiked.

You have every right to sell at whatever you want, but this is a bit of a middle finger to the community here.

Link to the group buy deal and pic of your post opting in so others can decide if this is a good deal.

I'm not entirely sure why it's considered shady... I no longer own the truck these were supposed to go on (as evident by the rest of the things I've been selling).

I'm willing to sell them more or less at the cost of what I had to acquire them (plus the rubber suspension components) at. I paid basically $120 + tax from my local dealer for those rubber suspension components over the counter, and you have to remember I live in California where sales tax (which was charged on that group buy) is basically 10%. Taking into account this, and knowing most people who like purchasing things online like to provide "best offers" and get deals, I was fully ready to accept a number that is lower than (but equivalent to how much I spent) my asking price. Not that I wanted to advertise this, but on the other items I sold, I accepted a lower number via DM.

Not sure why I'm expected to take a loss on an item that is brand new in box, and is available "now" rather than having to wait for a lead time.

    Okay.

My mistake then for not specifying a bottom dollar price. My intention was not to "take advantage of other members", but rather try to ensure I was not losing any money by setting a slightly higher asking price and amortizing the shipping costs to the total price (because this box is heavy/expensive to ship). Looking back at this, I can see how this looks like I was attempting to scalp them, but I had no intentions of doing this.

Can I amend the price to exactly what I have paid for them and the suspension components? I am looking for $1440 as this is what I have paid including sales tax and such.

The issue is trying to turn a profit after using the community to score a smoking deal.

Put it this way, would you have listed these at $1600 if the MSRP hadn't just spiked up from $1500? No. You'd have been labeled a scalper for charging more than MSRP.

I get not wanting to take a loss, but people buying in want ads aren't usually interested in paying sales tax, especially if they don't live in a state that charges what yours does.

Okay. Looking back at this whole fiasco, I understand your concern. I really do apologize, my intention here was not to "turn a profit", and I can see how it looks like I was trying to scalp them. As stated above, I'm simply trying to make sure I'm not losing money on them considering they are new in box.

That being said, I'm still pretty darn firm on my "not wanting to lose money" on them, and as such, have amended my original post to provide a full price disclosure break down for how I got to my pricing. I understand that this might not be a "group-buy" smoking deal, but at the same time, I believe it's a fair price especially given the disclosure and the fact that it is available "now"

Honestly, yes, even if the MSRP was still $1500, I would have listed them for my original asking price but more likely would have been razor-sharp in providing the disclosure of "why" I was asking my price.

Once again, would like to apologize here for the lack of clarity originally.
