I just had to snap a picture.E98670C9-42E1-423C-A9F6-6F1E14FB57FA.jpg It definitely had some type of weight assistance in the rear because it had more rack than stock with the trailer attached. Craziness…IMHO. And what is the average weight of two horses?

I knew there had to be a logical reason why someone would buy that color. :anonymous:

If I have to own a white Tundra, I'm not getting the horses.

Depends on the breed. 800-1200lbs for normal working horses. Draft horses can get pretty heavy at around 2000. That Tundra is probably rated at 9,400. As far as GVWR, depends on how he has the weight balance.

Ok - so let's just say that it's a 1000 lb horse. They can each carry a human with some gear right? About 250 lbs worth? So:

    Curb Weight: 1000 lbs
    Payload: 250 lbs
GAWR (gross animal weight rating): 1250 lbs

Now let's say that trailer has 3 horses in it. That white Tundra and trailer combination just gained 750 lbs of available payload!

    Internet maths are awesome.

Fun fact: White paint is actually lighter than other colors.

That's why most commercial airlines use white as the base coat on their planes. Many factory race cars (think GT3/4 and similar series) also primarily offer the cars in white for this reason. Long Road Racing, which formerly built the Global MX-5 Cup cars I believe mentioned it saved like 10-15lbs by starting with a white car.

unfortunately payload and safe towing do not mean much to many people

Toyota as compared with other mfts appears to conservatively under-rate the payload numbers. I see more Tundra's exceeding then within the official limits. Look at the over-engineered components compared with half tons from Chevy, Ford and Ram. No comparison. And the others usually have higher official payloads. Ford gets away with it with their aluminum lighter components. But its not as planted and stable. IMO of course.
