I got a Hellweg on my 19 TRD PRO, only because I had ordered the Toyota one, and it would not fit. So I went the other route and got the Hellweg.

There is noticeable difference when taking turns. I also changed out my hitch to a different one, and it seems to pull the camper a little smoother, I dont know if hitch or the sway bar. Its worth it IMO.

Got mine Labor Day weekend through McGeorge at $190. (Columbus day sale is right around the corner) with tax and shipping it was around $250 and I was surprised when it arrived two days later.

Very easy install if you don’t have mobility limitations (e.g. you will have to scoot under your truck).

    Chris,
Why wouldn’t the factory bar fit? That’s totally weird!

Installed? Thousands of us have them installed. Dealers in stock is a different problem.

My good friend, this is a “want to buy” thread. I’m pretty sure it’s in the thread title. Thank you for your help locating swaybars at dealerships. I never would have thought of that

Might be as simple as formatting the thread title to “WTB: Used TRD rear sway bar”.

I read the thread title and thought that the folks offering the best prices at dealerships were answering your question.

I got lucky and found one on Craigslist. You could also check FB marketplace and Offer Up. I think they hold enough value that there likely aren’t too many taking up space in people’s garages who are just too lazy to post a for sale thread on here. But you never know. Good luck!

I thought so also. The only thing I can think of is the TRD PRO is lifted at the factory, and the OEM sway bay needed to be a little linger to bolt on correctly.

Ordered the Hellweg one for lifted trucks and no problem.

Its just the rear sway bay, I was curious about a front sway bar, but I was told its not worth it like the rear one. I believe I ordered that directly from Hellweg.

I run a 3’’ lift on my 2018 and it works great. It makes a huge difference when turning. I bought mine from a local dealership here in Ventura county.

My thoughts, you will probably end up paying more for a OEM from a private seller after shipping than you would getting the TRD from EBay, Amazon or other internet site.

So, I am wondering if I could have a problem with fitting a sway bar on my truck. I expected that this length of the bars would be fairly uniform but I guess the bar to frame links are different to accommodate different lifts. I have custom Alcan leaf springs. Any suggestions for how I might confirm that I get the right links? One possibility is to get measurements from someone with a completely stock pro and compare that with mine.

How much is your truck lifted?

If I recall correctly there are 2 options for a swaybar. Normal height trucks and lifted trucks. The lifted model might be good for a 2"-4" lift.

I’m lifted about 2”. Wondering if the difference is only in the length of the links and if the actual bar is the same?

I would think the bar is the same, and the links are different sizes. But surely do your own research.

Just for information, the TRD Pros are not lifted in the rear and only the front is lifted around 2" from the FOX coil-overs, which brings the truck to level. From my research, the TRD Pro rear suspension is identical to other Tundras except for the extended length Fox shocks (which do not add lift). I installed a 1.5" shackle and have no issues with my TRD RSB. However, near full articulation on either side when off-roading, the RSB will contact the leaf springs. I think this is why many don't recommend using a rear sway bar if you intend to do some serious off-roading with a wide range of motion on the rear. Below is a picture of this interference point for example:
