Awesome ... may we all get to enjoy our Tundra's for as long as we drive them, however long that is -- million miles will be a while for me, hope mine is reliable and true as the Million Mile Machine

Nice read. I'm surprised they didn't mention the condition of the bed driving them to go with composites in the new model to mitigate rusting. Amazing the engine was in such good shape at 1 million miles.

I thought the Tundra leaf springs were supposed to be like cooked spaghetti. Seem to have held up well considering this truck was regularly well over its payload capacity.

Pretty sure mine will be my last truck. I drove many vehicles for hundreds of thousands of miles over many years. A little maintenance goes a long way folks. Kept many vehicles on the road for 15 or 20 years without too much trouble. Highway miles are just miles no significant wear going on, unless the fluids are bad. Tires, belts, hoses, bearings, injector cleaner, thermostats, fluids, filters, u-joints, plugs, coils, brake pads, maybe a few bulbs, and pure gasoline are all important to longevity.

Nice to see the follow up.

I remember seeing the truck years ago and that Toyota was going to buy the truck back from the owner to tear it down. Nice read
